Vehicle Detail
Hello and thanks for looking. I bought this complete 2016 Transit at an auction. It has a flood, scrap title and the engine is shot because it sucked up water and blew at least one rod, by my impression of how it sounds. But it's all there, turns over, dashboard works, and only 10,000 miles or so. Interior doesn't smell, no mold or mildew anywhere, the only evidence of water is some silt remaining on the front carpet area and the door sills. I don't think this got very deep and I can't figure how water got into the engine. NOTE: For some reason Ebay shows this as CNG fuel, but it's a conventional Gasoline engine. I bought it to use the parts to put at least one other Transit together. I'm a retired auto auctioneer and I do this kind of thing to stay busy. I can put at least two Transits together and have everything I need. But before I go shopping for something to fix, I figured there might be someone out there who needs the parts now, or wants to export it, or wants to use it on private property to shuttle customers around. If I can make a few bucks and you can use it, fine with me. There aren't many around and the front end (nose) alone is worth $3500, plus you get airbags, computers, doors, interior, all of it!Under Michigan law, once the vehicle has a SCRAP title, it cannot be titled again and you will NOT receive a title with this vehicle. I can give you a COPY of Michigan Scrap Flood title to prove I legally own it, but that is all, along with a typed bill of sale. But some countries are fine with that, so I suspect this vehicle might get exported. Engines are a dime a dozen. Please don't even ask me why I can't get a title, what states might issue a title, what countries it can go to, I have no idea. I know they play games with titles in some states, but I don't know how that works, period. Seems a shame to cut this thing up so I'm checking to see if anyone needs it. Make me an offer.
