2001 Volvo S40 1.9T 4-Cylinder Automatic 66,535 Miles Fog Lights, Leather Interior, Keyless Entry, Power Windows, Locks, and Mirrors, Tilt Steering, Cruise Control, AM/FM/CD/Cassette, Alarm System, Alloy Wheels, and Air Conditioning. This car is being sold as is. Pick up in Brooklyn, NY. I'm the 2nd owner. There are a number of issues but despite them, it runs well and the turbo kicks in nicely. The first owner had no major issues for the 12 years he owned it. He paid for lots of dealer scheduled TLC for those years. Then at 45K it moved to NYC with me and things started getting jostled... Replaced parts in the last 24 mos: Prematurely replaced timing belt/tensioner/pulley at 47K. New gaskets, a timing sensor, all brakes rotors/hardware/pads, alternator, battery, camshaft reset valve. Tires are 6 months old but one has a nickel size flap hanging off. Main caveats: !! EMISSIONS PERMIT EXPIRES 12/31/2016 !! One of the rear springs is broken and the Check Engine light is stuck on despite recent work at a dealership to try to deal with its favorite error code (P0015 camshaft timing retarded...) so it can't pass an emissions test. I have a detailed list of repairs that "could" solve the error code but I'm cutting my losses. Other flaws: Supension needs work - broken bushings, broken rear spring. I had 1 accident where front body part was pulled downward off the left side fittings in an near-zero impact fender bender. It was repaired in the method that's short of the full repair (visible clips) but there are no visible large cracks in the front end body part. It's missing the left marker light and has a scuffed up left turn signal light.
