With the 50th Anniversary of the Ford Thunderbird, Ford commemorated the event with a limited edition of 1,500 Anniversary Edition 2005 Ford Thunderbirds. 2005 also turned out to be the last year for the Ford Thunderbird. This is a low mileage example with less than 9,230 actual miles. Original owner has taken remarkably good care of this vehicle. The car is original. The 50th Anniversary Edition is characterized by Cashmere tri-coat metallic paint (a cross between white and beige) with matching removable top and medium light stone cloth convertible top and soft boot. It has a coordinated Cashmere, stone and soft gold interior that include full glove-soft leather Cashmere seats and Cashmere trimmed lower instrument panel, floor console and door armrests. Each vehicle features a numbered commemorative plaque mounted on the inside of the glove box, this one is 546/1,500, and "50th Anniversary" embossed on both seat backs. The engine is a 3.9 Liter V8 paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission. It has rear wheel drive and standard traction control. The Anniversary Edition also featured heated seats, automatic air conditioning, a 6-disc CD changer and an Audiophile sound system. The MSRP was $44,430.00 in 2005. This car includes the original hardtop, convertible top and boot. It also has the caddy used to store the hardtop when not in use.
