This NO RESERVE auction is for a very early production 1967 VW Beetle with sunroof. It runs well, but could use some timing/carb adjustment. It has a new disc brake conversion on the front end and new tires all around. I was told the engine was recently rebuilt, which I believe as the oil looks like honey and the heads are super clean. The front seats are the newer high back style and are not installed properly. I believe the original colors were dark green over white. The VIN number indicates that this car was built in mid-Aug of 1966 and is one of the earlier '67s. It is missing reverse lights, antenna, spare tire, radio, seat belts, rear engine tin, bumper support brackets and has a bad wiper knob and the horn doesn't work. It sat outside much of this summer and the sunroof appears to be completely water tight. The pan of this CO car is solid with minimal surface rust. There is minor rot in the driver's side heater channel and a fist-sized rust repair on the inner fender area behind each front tire. Please e-mail with any questions.
