2008 MINI Cooper S - Dark BlueDoes it Run? No!Why not? Apparently, MINIs have 3 computers. My mechanic can 'talk' to one of the computers. This means either one or both the other computers are not working. Can it be fixed? Yes. My mechanic cannot fix this though, because replacing the computer(s) won't be enough. Once replaced, all 3 computers will have to be re-programmed so they can 'talk' to each other. This should be done at a MINI dealership. It will take a few weeks to fix and will cost a MINIMUM of $1500. The closest MINI dealer is Mt. Laurel. The car would have to be flat-bedded there. Is there a clean title? I still owe on the car...$5000 cash gets you a clean title, or $3000 gets you a car for parts or salvage. What does the car have? 4 brand new tires! They were purchased and put on the car on September 1, 2016. It's an automatic, though MINI likes to say it's auto-manual, so it has paddle shifters on the steering wheel. If you don't put it in sport mode though, it's an automatic. It has a panoramic sunroof which works fine, though the screen has never opened since I bought it. The valve cover on the engine was replaced less than a year ago. I have all the maintenance records since I have owned the car - 2.5 years. There is a small dent on the passenger side door seemingly from a shopping cart or from another car door dinging it. Lastly, the driver's side fog lightbulb needs to be replaced.Up until this computer issue, the car worked perfectly. Ask a question or make an offer. Serious inquiries only.
