Vehicle Detail

For Sale with NO RESERVE PRICE: 1969 Chevelle SS project This is a factory AC car, but like a lot of these cars back in the old days, the compressor and hoses were removed for more power. The evaporator box is still on the firewall Immaculate blue bucket seat interior Blue horseshoe automatic shifter & floor console Rallye gauge cluster, BTW this is a rare item on 68 & 69 Chevelle’s 12 bolt rear with Ladder bars New performance exhaust Nice bumpers and grillework Correct SS wheels and 60 series tires This is not a numbers matching car, there was a 454 installed but spun a rod bearing. The 454 is apart but is included along with the 400 Turbo trans which was in the car I’ve taken a pic of some of the engine parts in the trunk It also has a big aluminum 4 row radiator with electric fansThe engine and transmission was already removed when I got this car, but everything that was in the car before the engine went, is with the car as far as I can tell. Just to cover myself, there may be some items, that slipped through the cracks and didn't make it this far, I am up front and not promising anybody that everything is 100% with the car, but I believe most if not all of it is The car shows signs of past amateur bodywork that is now chipping/cracking away, so that said, it needs a good bodyman to strip away the uglies and do the body the right way to be nice. This is a northeast car so expect anything underneath when you do that This car was re-vin numbered in Maryland most likely because it was a stolen-recovered car sometime in it’s past, but has a valid New Jersey title now It does have the stolen car scars, such as no original GM vin tag The chassis is solid but needs the leg behind the rear wheel towards the rear bumper reattached and welded. It is not a structural break and I can’t figure out why it would be cracked in this spot, it just doesn’t make sense to me The floors look basically sound from the bottom, but some patchwork is needed in the truck Summary: Yes it is a project to restore, every one on these cars is, none are perfect and even the nice ones need something redone to your liking. All in all, even with the few issues, this car can be put back together on a relatively low budget, it is still a find, and can be a fun car none the less That said……. I will not release this car whatsoever until funding has cleared the bank process Cash on the spot is what you need if you intend to take it home when you get here No exceptions-No kidding Please allow adequate time for responding to questions Don’t expect a response if you’re attempting to sneak one in at the final hours of the auction This car can be inspected by appointment here in Bergen County, NJ, and I urge anyone interested to do so or obtain an independent inspection from a reliable company for your protection as well as mine I have nothing to hide, I will try to answer any question, but please keep it real Reasonable offers will be considered if I don’t make my reserve Again, I urge everyone interested to inquire before you bid, after the sale has concluded, it is yours! I will have no part of any nonsense after the fact, no inquiries on your part beforehand will be interpreted as you being satisfied with what you see and read $500 non-refundable Paypal deposit is required within 2 days of auction close with balance due in cash, postal money order only or bank transfer within 7 days thereafter. I will furnish routing number information when the time comes. This item may also be advertised locally, because of these multiple listings, I reserve the right to end this auction early at any time without prior notice. Reasonable transport is available through my many contacts, this vehicle must be picked up within 30 days of auction close or $35 per day insured storage will accrue. This is a nice car, you won’t be disappointed! I am adding trim code information so I don't have to deal with many of the same questions:69 13637FMXXXXXTR 76551 C PAINT09CSo here it is:69=196913637=Chevelle 2 door sport coupe BTW, there is no way to verify SS396 by this code in 1969FM=Built in Franingham, Mass xxxx=Unit numberTR 765=Dark blue interior51 C is Dark Blue paint with Dark Blue vinyl top (I suspected this had a vinyl top)09C=Built in September, 3rd weekSo, being around these cars for as long as I have, it is an SS396 car by simply seeing the way the emblems are placed, punched holes (not drilled) for the moldings, 12 bolt rear, 3/8 fuel line, bucket seats, tach, (never will you see bucket seats and tach on a Malibu, at least I never have and I've seen alot of cars) and pretty much all the other SS stuff. Keep in mind, this is pretty much a nearly 50 year old car and has obviously gone through many changes along the way. I'm sold it isn't a fake.
