Vehicle Detail
I am relisting the car again as the two prior purchasers dre1day2 and lau-abuai defaulted on completing the sale and paying for the Mercedes. Please do not bid if you have no intention of paying for it. I purchased this Mercedes through Copart as a salvaged vehicle with damage to the front above the bumper and frame rails. I had it professionally rebuilt (have receipts). It was going to be my personal car. I put brand new tires on it. There are a few remaining items that need to be fixed as I can no longer work on the car or have the time to do so due to health reasons. The transmission was slipping and the driver's side lock actuator would not operate with the key fob. That is why the door panel is off. As you will see, I paid $517.88 to have Mercedes of Clear Lake to diagnose what it would take to finish the car. I have attached the invoice with the diagnostics and the Quote showing what they state is the issue along with their prices. I have priced this car appropriately should someone want to finish the car. Obviously, you could part it out and make quite a bit more than what I am asking. Here are the known issues to complete the finishing of the car: 1. Transmission valve body or Control Plate (pricing is for the complete valve body 2. While in the shop either the fuel pump or relay when out. I suspect it is the relay as they were fixing a short to the ABS which was repaired. 3. The cost of the complete valve body assembly and all the associated parts, screws, new transmission oil, gaskets, etc. was $1,764.22I asked Mercedes to work up the cost of labor should they do the work and they said it would cost $2,579.96.The rest of the car is like new and a beautiful car. The mileage of the car is 132368.Someone is going to get a tremendous deal and have a valuable car that will last for a long time. Mercedes engines are workhorses and will easily last over 300K miles if taken care of.
