This one-owner 2013 Ford Police Interceptor was purchased in 2013 and was used as a fully marked police car. This vehicle was manufactured by Ford specifically for law enforcement. It is based on the Ford Taurus platform. It was assigned to be used by our Patrol Unit, and has 70,707 miles. The engine hours on the vehicle are 7,026. The Bartlett Police Department adheres to a strict maintenance program, which includes oil changes every 5,000 miles and compliance with all manufacturer maintenance at suggested intervals. The new owner can be provided with the vehicle's service and maintenance history. The vehicle up for auction has been inspected by a local vehicle maintenance garage. The inspection suggests that the brakes be replaced in the near future. This vehicle up for auction is in very good condition and runs very well. Also it is an all-wheel drive vehicle. Because it was built as a patrol car it has some inherent features. Such as the side front fenders had factory installed emergency lights. When removed left holes in the moldings (see photos). These holes can be eliminated by the purchase of regular Taurus moldings from a Ford dealer. The dash has a cut-out for the mounting of the radar unit (see photos). The rear emergency lights have been removed from their interior housings at the top of the rear window (see photos). The center console was omitted to make room for policed equipment. Even though it’s a police vehicle, it is equipped with some nice features. Such as, all-wheel drive, multi band (AM, FM, Sirius/XM) stereo cd radio, multiple 12 volt power outlets, cruise control, steering wheel controls, traction control, adjustable brake and gas pedals, power driver’s seat, tilt steering wheel, message center, outside temperature display, remote trunk release, back-up assist, eight way adjustable driver seat.. This vehicle has been detailed and all police equipment has been removed. All external mounting holes were plugged with rubber plugs and sealed. All electronic components were returned to their original configuration. The vehicle still has an ignition over-ride switch, which allows the vehicle's key to be removed from the ignition while the engine is left running (see photo). All police markings were professionally removed and the paint still maintains a very nice shine. The body is in very good shape. This vehicle comes with a spare tire. In the interior is in very good condition. The front seats are in very good condition except for a small hole on the back of the driver’s seat. The original rear seat was removed and replaced with a solid plastic seat. The never used rear vinyl seat was put back in but never secured. There is rubber flooring instead of carpeting inside the vehicle. The interior pillar posts have rear barrier mounting brackets attached to them. Since this vehicle was a former police squad car, the rear doors cannot be opened from the inside. The buyer must go to a Ford dealer to correct this problem. This one-owner 2013 Ford Police Interceptor was purchased in 2013 and was used as a fully marked police car. This vehicle was manufactured by Ford specifically for law enforcement. It is based on the Ford Taurus platform. It was assigned to be used by our Patrol Unit, and has 70,707 miles. The engine hours on the vehicle are 7,026. The Bartlett Police Department adheres to a strict maintenance program, which includes oil changes every 5,000 miles and compliance with all manufacturer maintenance at suggested intervals. The new owner can be provided with the vehicle's service and maintenance history.
The vehicle up for auction has been inspected by a local vehicle maintenance garage. The inspection suggests that the brakes be replaced in the near future.
This vehicle up for auction is in very good condition and runs very well. Also it is an all-wheel drive vehicle. Because it was built as a patrol car it has some inherent features. Such as the side front fenders had factory installed emergency lights. When removed left holes in the moldings (see photos). These holes can be eliminated by the purchase of regular Taurus moldings from a Ford dealer. The dash has a cut-out for the mounting of the radar unit (see photos). The rear emergency lights have been removed from their interior housings at the top of the rear window (see photos). The center console was omitted to make room for policed equipment.
Even though it’s a police vehicle, it is equipped with some nice features. Such as, all-wheel drive, multi band (AM, FM, Sirius/XM) stereo cd radio, multiple 12 volt power outlets, cruise control, steering wheel controls, traction control, adjustable brake and gas pedals, power driver’s seat, tilt steering wheel, message center, outside temperature display, remote trunk release, back-up assist, eight way adjustable driver seat..
This vehicle has been detailed and all police equipment has been removed. All external mounting holes were plugged with rubber plugs and sealed. All electronic components were returned to their original configuration. The vehicle still has an ignition over-ride switch, which allows the vehicle's key to be removed from the ignition while the engine is left running (see photo). All police markings were professionally removed and the paint still maintains a very nice shine. The body is in very good shape. This vehicle comes with a spare tire.
In the interior is in very good condition. The front seats are in very good condition except for a small hole on the back of the driver’s seat. The original rear seat was removed and replaced with a solid plastic seat. The never used rear vinyl seat was put back in but never secured. There is rubber flooring instead of carpeting inside the vehicle. The interior pillar posts have rear barrier mounting brackets attached to them. Since this vehicle was a former police squad car, the rear doors cannot be opened from the inside. The buyer must go to a Ford dealer to correct this problem.

If vehicle is to be driven from seller’s location, Illinois law requires the new owner to have current registration and insurance on the vehicle. A temporary registration permit can be obtained from any Illinois Secretary of State office.

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions. By submitting a bid, the bidder agrees that they have read, fully understand and accept these Terms and Conditions of Online Sales, and agree to pay for and remove the property, if the bid is accepted by the dates and times specified.
Disclaimer and Indemnification.
THE VILLAGE OF BARTLETT, COOK, DUPAGE, AND KANE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS (the “Seller”) HEREBY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE regarding the personal property being sold by the Village to Buyer (the “Personal Property”). Seller neither assumes nor authorizes any person to assume for it any liability in connection with the sale, offer for sale, and/or conveyance of the Personal Property. In no event shall Seller be liable to Buyer or anyone else for any loss of profit, direct, indirect, incidental, collateral, and/or exemplary damages and/or any liability of any kind relative to the sale, offer for sale, and/or conveyance of the Personal Property.
Buyer agrees to purchase the Personal Property, in “AS IS”, “WHERE IS” condition with all faults. Buyer understands that Seller does not expressly or implicitly warrant that the Personal Property meets or complies with any applicable safety and/or regulatory standards (examples: ASTM, ANSI, FMVSS). Buyer is solely responsible for determining that the Personal Property is appropriate for any and all particular uses.
Buyer, for himself/herself/itself, and Buyer’s heirs, legatees, legal representatives, directors, officers, shareholders, managers, members, employees, successors and assigns, hereby releases the Village of Bartlett, and its officials, officers and employees, from any and all claims, liabilities, actions, and/or causes of action resulting from injuries, death, damages and/or losses resulting from injuries, death, damages and/or losses arising out of, connected with or in any way associated with the condition of or use of the Personal Property.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buyer shall indemnify, hold harmless and defend the Village of Bartlett, its officials, officers and employees from any and all claims, liabilities, actions, and/or causes of action resulting from injuries, death, damages and/or losses arising out of, connected with, or in any other way associated with the condition of and/or use of the Personal Property.
Personal and Property Risk. Persons attending during exhibition, sale or removal of goods assume all risks of damage of or loss to person and property and specifically release the Seller from liability therefor.
Inspection. Most items offered for sale are used and may contain defects not immediately detectable. Bidders may inspect the property prior to bidding. Consideration of Bid. Village of Bartlett reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to withdraw from sale any of the Personal Property listed.
Buyer’s Certificate. Successful bidders will receive a notice by email from e-bay (the “Notice”).
Payment. Payment in full is due not later than five (5) business days from the time and date of the Notice. Acceptable forms of payment are:
- Cash (U.S. currency)
- Certified Check (Non-cancelable, with Letter of Certified Funds from bank)
- Money Order
- Cashiers Check
Checks shall be made payable to Village of Bartlett. Payments shall be made at the location indicated by the Village.
Removal. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Notice. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified above. Successful bidders are responsible for removal of any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated on the website. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, for removal of the property. Under no circumstances will the Village of Bartlett assume responsibility for delivery. Property may be removed between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays by prior appointment only. Vehicles of Titles. Seller will issue a title or certificate upon receipt of payment. Titles may be subject to any restrictions as indicated in the item description on the website. Open titles cannot be issued. The Village of Bartlett will not issue replacement titles.
Default. Default by Buyer shall include (1) failure by Buyer to observe these terms and conditions; (2) failure to make good and timely payment; or (3) failure to remove all items within the specified time. If the Buyer fails in the performance of any obligation hereunder, as provided herein, Seller may terminate this Agreement and shall be entitled to all rights and remedies as are provided by law and/or equity, including attorney’s fees and court costs. Seller reserves the right to reclaim and resell all items not removed by Buyer upon the expiration of the specified removal date.
State/Local Sales and/or Use Tax. Buyers may be subject to payment of State and/or local sales and/or use tax. Buyers are responsible for contacting the appropriate tax office, completing any forms, and paying any taxes that may be imposed.
Fee and Tax Information: Deposit of five hundred dollars must be paid within seven days of the close of the auction. The payment must be either cashier's check or money order paid to "The Village of Bartlett".
This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle. All vehicles are sold as-is unless otherwise specified. I have done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.-->
