Up for sale is a 2007 Kia Optima with the 2.4L 4cylinder engine and automatic transmission. This car has every power option available on it. This vehicle was given to me by my brother because it had skipped 2 teeth on the timing chain and he told me i could have it if i wanted to attempt to fix it. I did order a timing kit and had attempted to fix. I believe when it skipped 2 teeth one of he pistons had possibly made contact with a valve since this is an interference engine. After successfully doing the timing with new parts it continued to run rough. I must note that during the timing service i had broken 1 of the 4 bolts that hold the balance shaft module on the bottom of the block. I assumed 3 out of 4 would suffice for around town driving. It still runs very rough and i do not believe it will hold. So this vehicle is being sold as a project/parts vehicle. I believe that this would be great for someone with the time and patience to rebuild this, this can be a great vehicle for very little money. I unfortunately do not have the time or patience to rebuild this motor, nor do i have the necessary tools to do so. The rest of this car is in really good shape, and i will include a slew of parts for it as well (front suspension coils & struts, rotors & brakes, tires, 3 rims). I have 2 young kids so i rather spend my time playing with them than fixing this back up. This vehicle could also be stripped down for parts and would make you a decent profit since everything here is worth more than what i am asking. Shipping would be your responsibility, the car runs enough to get it up on a trailer but i wouldn't attempt anything more than that.
