My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least on of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2003 Mercedes Benz CL500 with just 116k miles. Anyone who knows me will tell you how much I love these cars. There is just something about the full sized coupe that just does it for me. The Mercedes pillerless coupe is and has been a timeless automobile that carries a certain amount of exclusivity and character regarless of its age. I would rate the exterior of this CL500 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking coupe. It is finished in classic black on black with tinted windows and black AMG style wheels with a polished lip. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find normal wear commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific CL500, the only thing worth noting on the exterior is a small faded spot on the rear shoulder behind the fuel filler door. Otherwise, just some normal small scratches and chips in the finish. I wasn't able to find any signs of corrosion on the exterior, which is uncommon for a Mercedes of this age. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. The auto-close function is no longer working on the trunk...this is common with age. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The black AMG style alloys give the car an aggressive look and are wrapped in nice rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this coupe looks inside and out. I would also rate the interior of this CL500 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, the interior shows very well for its age. As usual, there are a few broken latches...which is very common with these. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The dash and headliner are clean. The wood interior veneers are clean and tight. The leather seats show well for their age and are comfortable. Both front seats are power operated, heated, cooled and have the optional massage feature...which is heaven. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The power rear sunshade raises and lowers smoothly. The climate control system is fully automatic and offers independent settings for the driver and passenger. The heater works properly and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The audio system is the original wide screen premium sound with GPS navigation, which powers up, sounds good and appears to be working properly. There looks to be an auxillary audio input, too. Mechanically, this CL500 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 5.0L 300+hp V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older car. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. This car has the optional Active Body Control sport suspension system, which appears to be working properly. You can hear the pump a little, which is normal at this age. I didn't see any leaks in the system, there are no error messages up and the suspension stays nice and level. Steering and braking feel good, too. The only warning message up is an airbag fault. The engine keeps perfect temperature and performs well, as it should. The power comes on strong and smooth. The five speed automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. I can feel a slight vibration but it seems to only be noticeable at a specific engine speed, not vehicle speed specific so my guess would be either the little rubber transmission mount or the rubber engine mounts, neither of which are a huge deal...and both are normal at this age. Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least on of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2003 Mercedes Benz CL500 with just 116k miles. Anyone who knows me will tell you how much I love these cars. There is just something about the full sized coupe that just does it for me. The Mercedes pillerless coupe is and has been a timeless automobile that carries a certain amount of exclusivity and character regarless of its age. I would rate the exterior of this CL500 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking coupe. It is finished in classic black on black with tinted windows and black AMG style wheels with a polished lip. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find normal wear commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific CL500, the only thing worth noting on the exterior is a small faded spot on the rear shoulder behind the fuel filler door. Otherwise, just some normal small scratches and chips in the finish. I wasn't able to find any signs of corrosion on the exterior, which is uncommon for a Mercedes of this age. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. The auto-close function is no longer working on the trunk...this is common with age. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The black AMG style alloys give the car an aggressive look and are wrapped in nice rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this coupe looks inside and out.
I would also rate the interior of this CL500 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, the interior shows very well for its age. As usual, there are a few broken latches...which is very common with these. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The dash and headliner are clean. The wood interior veneers are clean and tight. The leather seats show well for their age and are comfortable. Both front seats are power operated, heated, cooled and have the optional massage feature...which is heaven. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The power rear sunshade raises and lowers smoothly. The climate control system is fully automatic and offers independent settings for the driver and passenger. The heater works properly and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The audio system is the original wide screen premium sound with GPS navigation, which powers up, sounds good and appears to be working properly. There looks to be an auxillary audio input, too.
Mechanically, this CL500 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 5.0L 300+hp V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older car. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. This car has the optional Active Body Control sport suspension system, which appears to be working properly. You can hear the pump a little, which is normal at this age. I didn't see any leaks in the system, there are no error messages up and the suspension stays nice and level. Steering and braking feel good, too. The only warning message up is an airbag fault. The engine keeps perfect temperature and performs well, as it should. The power comes on strong and smooth. The five speed automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. I can feel a slight vibration but it seems to only be noticeable at a specific engine speed, not vehicle speed specific so my guess would be either the little rubber transmission mount or the rubber engine mounts, neither of which are a huge deal...and both are normal at this age. Winning Bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us via eBay Message within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. Please do not leave a voicemail on the office phone.
Full payment is due within 7 day of the auction's end. The prefferred method is to bring cash in person to complete the sale. If you are unable to bring cash in person within seven days or will be having the vehicle shipped, we also accept Certified Checks, USPS Postal Money Orders, and wire transfer.
PayPal is not an accepted payment method. This includes Bill Me Later.
We cannot accept credit cards or personal checks.
Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.
Non-paying Bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are a PennDOT issuing agent and able to complete most tag, registration, and title work, as well as collect sales tax, for Pennsylvania residents.
For out-of-state buyers, PennDOT offers a 30-day temporary tag (aka In-Transit tag). The cost is $49 and the buyer must show a valid driver's license and current proof of insurance. We can issue them at our office.
