Vehicle Detail
For auction with very low reserve is my 2007 BMW R 1200S. I am a 55 year old professional who is the third owner of this machine. IT HAS A SALVAGE/REBUILD TITLE DUE TO A LOW SPEED INCIDENT. IF A NON CLEAN TITLE BOTHERS YOU PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS MACHINE. I have bought several cars and bikes with salvage titles over my many years in the hobby. With bikes, the cost of plastic bodywork and in this case, engine magnesium valve covers, the insurance company decided to total the bike. I purchased it from the second owner after he replaced all effected body work with BMW OEM parts. The only evidence of the fall is the valve covers. If I were to keep the bike I’d just buy carbon covers for cosmetic reasons. The bike was purchased by me for the purpose of using it as a track day bike exclusively. I ended up not having any time to convert it fully to a track bike. The bike has an expensive Staintune exhaust system and has both front and rear Ohlins suspension. It also has the wider sport rear wheel. It’s got a set of sport Contis on it that have less than 500 miles on them. I’ve ridden the bike about 1000 miles on the street as it was a bike that I kept at my vacation house in the western North Carolina mountains. I kept it on a trickle charger and would use it to ride on the blue ridge parkway and other mountain roads when I was able to get up there a couple of times per year. I have raced a BMW r1100s over the years as well as owning an HP2 sport. This bike blows both the 1100s and the HP2 sport away. Such a light and quick steering bike, especially for a boxer. I am a physician who finds himself working more and more hours than I desire so my collection of nine motorcycles and six cars must go. I simply have no time to ride and enjoy my Ducatis and BMWs so I am selling most of the bikes in my collection. I am listing this machine as well as my Ducati 999 S and Ducati Monster this weekend on ebay. I am certainly not a great photographer and it has been rainy so these photos were obviously taken in the garage. I have the mirror/signals as well as the rear turn signals and license plate unit that will be included with the sale. I put a carbon r 1100s front fender on it as I thought it looked better than the stock one. I will include both with the sale. This machine has been sitting on a trickle charger and frankly it should be with an owner who has the time to actually enjoy it and ride it more than I have been able to do so. I am in the processing of transitioning into “semi retirement” so most of much of my “garage” is being sold. I have been on ebay for many years and have bought and sold many cars and bikes in this hobby. My rating is 100% and I am nothing but an honest seller. I do not have time to waste and play games with fantasy bidders who don’t have the desire or perhaps the funds to buy the machine. I am not a curmudgeon by any means but I find more and more of ebay sales are not completed. I have the reserve price set every low and this machine will sell this auction. If you have any questions please feel free to email me and I will do my best to return the email. I work seven days a week for two weeks straight so phone calls are a challenge. I thank you for your interest in my BMW. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
