1979 Honda CR 125R Vin JE01-2009324 Engine # JE01E-2009862Manuf date 3/79 I had bought this bike to race in the Post Vintage series, starting in April. Little did I know that finding a 23" front tire would be such a chore. It seems that the only manufacturer who makes a full knobby 23" is Cheng Shin. I have had a tire on order from Chapparel Motorsports since April 1st. Status has been two weeks, then two weeks then first of May, first of June.... I give up. I know ..put a 21" wheel on it..blah blah blah. Would make a nice restoration or racer. Just want to recoup some money to put towards something else. Anyway, on the to the good stuff. I bought in Northern Ohio in March, Previous owner did new top end. Runs very strong!!6 speed! This bike is fast! Stock tank is in very good condition-just two slight dents. Tank alone is probably worth a few bucks. Tire that is on front is the stock Honda Trail Wing, holds air, has some dry rot cracks. Did ride up and down field with it. Also included is a new tube for it.
