Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is the 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe. It has the original 4.7 298 V8 engine. 3 speed manual transmission. It was purchased new by my uncle in 1966 from the Ford dealer in Lincoln, NE and driven back to Colorado. He sold it to me and I've owned it now for about 6 years. I did a mini-restoration, but am not a professional by any means.....partially new interior including carpet, seats, dash pad, seat belts and headliner. Has the original Ford AM radio with a new speaker in the dash. Paint is Nightmist Blue and was resprayed sometime in the 1980's. It is not perfect paint and has some rust bubbles in the usual spots, some fading in spots as well as worn patch on the top of the rear drivers side quarter panel. It does wax up nicely though. It originally had a white vinyl top but it had deteriorated so I had it removed, the roof repaired and sprayed Ford Corp White....to keep the blue/white color scheme. I have not worked on the engine much other than new spark plugs, wires, battery, etc...Runs well and pulls strong with its 4.7 V8 engine. New exhaust, muffler and chrome end tip. New shocks, low mileage on nice tires with wider 6in steel wheels, matching hub caps and matching spare in trunk. Known issues are clutch shudder in 1st gear, (probably could use a new clutch), some rust throughout, (new rear floor pans installed over the old floor), brake lights not coming on, horn not working, dash lights not coming on and dirty engine compartment. It leaves a few drops of oil underneath and on the block each month. Haven't tracked down the leak/s, but I'm sure you can! This car can has all original parts and is matching engine numbers to the body. Id love to be able to put more work into it, but unfortunately I don't have the time. Id like to see someone buy it who will bring it back to top notch condition! I am negotiable on the price, but have put some cash and time into it over the years, so I'm sure we can land on a fair number. Cash only transaction and I will have the title and Bill of Sale with no warranty implied ready to go. LOCAL VIEWING AND PICK UP IN DENVER COLORADO ONLY. NO SHIPPING AVAILABLE.
