I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED YOU SEE THE VIDEO IT GETS TO THE POINT This 76 240D 4speed has no rust from top to bottom. Original california car. If you see the video you will see how well this mercedes runs drives and handles. Brakes are good stops on a dime. Has an easy start and go. I've had a 240D automatic once but compared to this 240D 4 speed is a world of difference, So much more power. You'll understand what i'm talking about once you see the 0-60 test in the video. You'll really enjoy driving it. There is a dent on the right rear quarter, i took a picture of it, But besides that there is no body filler, or primer spots. no rust in or under the trunk. The floor pans are in clean original survivor quality. No rust under the doors. Speaking of the doors, they open and shut without any problems. My favorite, Is the classic roll up windows. They have no problems going up or down. Besides the little dent i mentioned, This mercedes lived an accident rust free life.The paint and interior are original so you can expect some wear, Nothing major but does need a little attention. The transmission clutch and gears all work great as you can see in the video. Reverse is a little tricky getting into the first few tries, But once you get used to it, It's perfectly fine. In order for the turn signals to work you need to hold the switch down. But besides that, The headlights, Stop lights, Tail lights, Horn and windshield wipers all work. I have the original muffler and radio for it and a bunch of service books that come with the car. I recommend view the video it speaks for itself.
