Vehicle Detail
2014 BMW R1200GS Factory Low Suspension Version with 7,772 miles. Color Thunder Grey, with the technology package (LED Headlight, Ride Modes Pro, Heated Grips, Tire Pressure Monitor, Hand Protectors), Touring package (Dynamic ESA, On Board Computer PRO, GPS prep., cruise control, saddle bag mounts), ASC, and cross spoke wheels. Also included are the BMW side cases (only used on two rides) and BMW LED auxiliary headlights. I have also added Evotech intake guards, engine guards, radiator guards, front fork spindle bobbin, and rear swingarm protection (essentially another spindle bobbin). The Evotech stuff is really nice, lightweight, and very strong. The bike was broken in correctly by varying the load on the engine, had the first service at 735 miles, the second at 3,882 miles (June 2015), and the most recent at 6,620 miles (January 2016). I had new tires installed at the most recent service (replaced with same model). The old ones were still good, but I like to keep everything in perfect shape and the tires were showing enough wear to replace them. The GS has not been dropped and is in excellent shape. I've done maybe two miles on a dirt road, and the rest has been on paved roads. Always kept in my garage, extremely clean, and except for a small rub mark on the engine guard from my pant leg (visible in a photo), it looks like a new bike on the showroom floor. Must be seen to be appreciated. The last time I put gas in it, someone asked if the bike was new. Removed from the bike, but also included is the center stand. I’ve had two minor issues with the bike. The windscreen developed hairline cracks from two of the mounting bolts, and was replaced under warranty. BMW also replaced the mounting bracket with a newer version that won’t result in the cracks. Second, I had a very slight leak where the front brake master cylinder lid rests. A new gasket was installed under warranty, and no more leak. That’s it. There is no lien on the bike, and I have the title, service records, and both sets of keys. I purchased the bike new in January of 2014, and it has the remainder of the warranty until January of 2018. This bike is really comfortable and performs incredibly well in every way. I also have a BMW r1200r, and the GS is overkill for my riding (I just end up riding a few hours at a time, and stay local). Please let me know if you have any questions. Local pickup only. Deposit due within 24 hours of auction close, full payment within seven days, and the bike must be picked up within 21 days of auction close. Thanks for looking!
