Vehicle Detail
Mostly restored 1970 VW Karmann Ghia convertible. In the last 3 years it's had new 4 wheel disc brakes, EMPI wheels, paint, rebuilt 1600cc engine, carb, gas tank, clock, steering wheel, wood dash, lower dash pad, carpet, interior door panels, window cranks, interior door openers, seats (from a 1976 Porsche 911), 4 new Kumho tires, front shocks, and other smaller extras. The top has not been replaced but I never drive it in the rain and rarely with the top up. The lower section of the back seat is there but it hasn't been recovered. I haven't done it because I like the two seater look. The heater parts were not installed when I put the rebuilt engine in. It's been garage kept the entire 4 years I've owned it. On Apr-08-16 at 11:07:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Included with the sale of the car is speaker boxes that are molded for a Karmann Ghia. They go under the dash, in the area in front of the doors, beside your feet. I'm also including a brand new black vinyl boot top that covers the convertible top and some parts for the back seat (hinge, clasp, catch, etc) that allows the back seat to fold down. This car won 2nd Place in the German division at Springtime in the Smokies in 2015 (see plaque picture), a European car show. The winners were voted on by other car owners entered in the show. The winner was a fully restored Porsche 356B. However, this car beat several very nice 911's.
