Vehicle Detail
Already replaced this vehicle with an SUV for family use and whatnot so it needs to go!Purchased new from Keeler Mini, ordered to the spec I wanted.2008 Mini Cooper SFactory original options:6 speed manualLSDWinter PackagePremium package (this includes the dual panorama sunroof)Sport suspensionFactory Aerokit (NOT the JCW one)Auto dimming mirrorMulti Function Steering wheelPremium stereo optionAll weather mats, including boot areaLeatheretteAnthracite HeadlinerBrushed aluminum accentsHID lightsJCW carbon spoilerAdded goodies:DoS W2A intercooler setupDoS IntakeBSH Oil catch canDiverter valve upgradeWMW Stainless turbo oil linesFactory turbo ceramic coatedFactory exhaust manifold ceramic coated and wrappedRiss Racing catless downpipeInvidia catbackCP Forged pistons stock compression ratioAll new bottom end bearings (didn't need them but replaced when doing pistons)AccessPortMegan Racing coiloversUpper and lower H-Sport rear control armsTSW 19mm rear swaybarFront motor mount bushing inserts (Poly)Drilled and slotted rotors front and rear Fender arches smoothed and painted charcoalSide skirts painted to matchStripes painted on hood, front and rear bumpersBlack out beltline kitJoey headlight mod same charcoal color same as skirts/flaresChrome trim, scoop, and rear hatch handle painted charcoal30% tintLED rear turn signals3rd brake light pulsarShort shift adapterStubby AntennaPassport X8500 Hard mounted and hard wired to rearview mirror (easy to completely remove)The good: Car runs like a bat out of hell, even on the stage 1 alta tune. Handles like it's on rails, and the motor is bullet proof now.The bad: The invidia exhaust has a small flex pipe section that has started to leak and needs to be repaired. If you really want to get the most out of it a proper tune is most certainly needed. But it runs great as is on stage 1 or 2 from the accessport. Stage 3 would need tweaking to avoid boost/fuel cut. The sunroof vinyl is starting to show it's age but could easily be peeled off. Set of 18" Konig Swurve wheels including 1 that has a dented repairable rim are included with TPMS installed. They need tires though. Dent is on the inside lip(stupid upstate NY potholes). Last picture is of the car with those wheels from the Fall. 16" stock R84 wheels with brand new Yokohama summer tires are on the car, snow tires with 1 season on them included. Oh and of course the hole in the rear bumper from being hit in a parking lot. I have a spare rear bumper without a hole I planned on repainting the stripes on and swapping at some point but never got around to. Not sure whether good or bad, but this thing just plain screams under full load at full throttle. Burbles nicely under decel, and doesn't drone bad at all cruising at highway speeds. I have the original catback, original sport suspension setup etc. I also have a proper sub enclosure with a sub in it but no amp that makes the back hatch area level with the back seats when they fold down. Hasn't seen more than 3 winters since I bought it in 2008. I love this car, first new car I ever bought...but family first unfortunately. Typical dings and some nicks in the front bumper from driving it. The major motor rebuild was finished just about 6,000 miles ago. Including all new timing chain components, water pump, idler pulleys, belts, hoses etc at that time.
