Vehicle Detail
Great mechanical condition and highly customized to make it a true long distance ride. This bike allowed my wife and I to ride to a Gold medal finish in the 2011 Iron Butt Rally covering over 11,000 miles in 10 1/2 days while hitting the 48 contiguous states. We also have several 1st place finishes in other shorter rallies. She has been wonderful to us but it is time for us to move on. Buy her as a starter rally bike or just as a touring machine and you can't go wrong. - Russel customized heated seat - very expensive and comfortable.- Three gallon fuel cell - flip a switch and pump three gal of gas to the tank while on the move.- arm rests, foot boards, audio controls for the passenger- CB and integrated wiring for Garmin gps and cell phone... Spare refurbished gps that I have never used- nearly new tires- Traxxion suspension upgrade (very expensive and worth every penny)- Baker air wings, risers and probably other stuff that I'm forgetting. She isn't perfect having been ridden over 100,000 miles... But she has been serviced regularly and many items have been replaced as precautionary measures. Good for another 100,000 miles, I'm sure. Will deliver any where in the country for a plane ticket back to St. Louis. Edit on 3/28/16: I have sold a large boat and 4 or 5 motorcycles on eBay over several years time and I have never had any one give me bad feedback : ask me any question and I will tell you the truth and, if anything, will err on the side of more negative than positive. This bike will sell and it looks like it's going to sell too cheaply. Just the fuel cell and seat could probably be sold off the bike for $1000 and they cost way more than that if you start from scratch. If you want a good touring machine don't let this one pass! Edit 3/29/16I added two pictures. One is of a poster I had made of a photo my wife took from the pillion as we headed through New Mexico to the four corners area one fine early June morning. The second is a photo that was taken of us as we arrived in Ontario, CA after having ridden over 11,500 miles in 10.5 days while documenting all 48 continguous states and the farthest four corners: Blaine, WA; Madawaska, ME; Key West, FL; and San Ysidro, CA. You, too, can make an historic trip if you buy this high quality mile eater! You should be bidding by now! Announce your interest with authority! Don't let the watchers sneak in at the last minute to beat you out!On Mar-30-16 at 10:28:09 PDT, seller added the following information: Edit 3/30/16 Also, I have the back fender that came off the bike when I put that fuel cell on. It is, of course, the same color as the rest of the back vs. the silver one that's on there now. I bought the silver one so I didn't have to modify the original one and could keep it intact. On Apr-02-16 at 01:22:45 PDT, seller added the following information: This is an ABS equipped motorcycle! Just realized that's not in the ad... Bike is selling way too cheap.... Ought to be bringing $10,000, in my opinion. However your opinion is all that counts. Have had several questions about details on how it looks up close so will try to add a little here: the bike looks good in person.... It's not perfect in that it's travelled over 100,000 mile and it has a little scuff or rub here and there, but I truly don't believe there are any that you see unless you are looking for them. The only place I can think of right now is the left engine guard from the only time it's been dropped and it's nothing you notice- if you don't like it the way it is spend $120 on one and replace it cause it's way, way too cheap. The bike has always been garaged except when on trips. Please ask any questions you have and bid, bid, bid. I am hoping somebody from out west buys it and needs me to ride it to them! On Apr-03-16 at 03:01:53 PDT, seller added the following information: It's still way to cheap. But I said I'm selling it and I will. However, somebody could make money buying it for this price and selling parts off of it. Ask me questions if you have them: five7three3zerozero90nine2. I sure hope some of you watchers have some last minute bids lined up! Remember, I can deliver it for a plane ticket!
