Vehicle Detail
This was my dads. He ordered it in 1965 in Phoenix. I have every paper since that day. I inherited it 19 years ago and have done my best to enjoy it and keep it as amazingly original as it has always been. It has 34K original miles, it has never had a tow hitch on it. He mostly pulled it behind his truck for hunting. I transport it on a trailer. Four years ago I was afraid it might start to rust (I moved to Montana) so I painted it with concept paint in the original paint code (Indian ceramic). It had the original paint (faded to a lovely pesto bismal pink) until then. I haven’t hooked everything up since painting it (like the wipers and heater...) but they all worked when I took them off and I have EVERY PART.It is a 3-speed. The winch works great, there is no frame damage. The holes are for a soft top frame. I have the complete frame, doors, top... I haven't put in on in about 8 years. There is a heavy metal swinging gate for the spare in great condition that I haven't put back on as well. And the original spare is just like the other four. The holes on the side were for the gas can mount? And CB antenna. The holes in the back are for the spare tire gate.Everyone says too bad about the stereo holes, but Dad put a cassette player in back in the 80's? So it just seems normal to me. I purchased a CD player (with aux port for my ipod) that fit in the holes but have never hooked it up. It goes with the jeep as well. And I have a really cool old JEEP rifle mount in the original box (lol sticker price is still on the box...5.95) that I've never mounted. Please don't ask me to part things out, I won't. She's a full package deal with all the files, parts and papers. I even kept the original leaf springs, tow bar, seat belts, key fob... An interesting note, I have a letter from the factory dated 1965 where they state that someone in the factory screwed up the vin and they give the VIN it should have been with the A code. Truly one of a kind- like a miss minted coin!
