Vehicle Detail

Excellent condition, all stock, 1991 Mercedes Benz 560SEC coupe – the last year of the classic W126 chassis. Only 113k miles, with a Pearl Black (gray) exterior and a Cream Beige leather interior. Usual assortment of features, with optional equipment including heated seats and Acceleration Skid Control (ASR), known as traction control. Owned by long-term PCA/MBCA/BMW CCA member with lots of other German cars. I bought this car because I’ve wanted one ever since one of my co-workers bought one new in 1989. I purchased the car in July 2008 from an eBay dealer in Pennsylvania with 108k miles. While I have owned it, the car has been maintained by me or Don Pool Mercedes Benz Repair in Falls Church, Virginia (one of the best independent Mercedes-only mechanics in the Washington DC area). I have the clean CarFax from when I bought it. According to the dealer I bought it from, I am the third owner, the second owner having purchased the car in 1998 as a Mercedes CPO Starmark car (which is documented by a sticker inside the driver’s door). Excellent mechanical condition. Although I have only driven the car about 8k miles in 8 years, I have maintained it to a very high standard. Maintenance and repairs during my ownership include engine mounts, ignition switch, hood pad, major service (plugs/wires/belts/distributor cap, etc.), brake hoses, timing chain and tensioner, ball joints, front and rear brake pads/rotors, radiator, heater valve, and shifter bushings. Car runs and drives very well. Tires are Continental Extreme Contact in the stock size with just a few thousand miles on them. Interior is excellent; no rips or tears, everything in excellent shape. No cracks in dash; one small crack in wood surrounding the shifter. Both seat belt extenders work. Actually, everything works as far as I know, including the cruise control. Body is very clean with no dents or rust. No known accidents. Minor wear and tear commensurate with age and mileage. VIN tags on all body panels. I have a clean title in my name. This is a beautiful example of a classic Mercedes coupe. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
