I recently purchased this to restore but have to unexpectedly move for work. Car runs and drives fine. I have taken it out several times with no issues what so ever. I've put over 400 miles on it in one day with no issues. I'm going to do my best to accurately detail everything about the car. If you have further questions please don't hesitate to ask me. Unsure if the 283 in the car is numbers matching, but that's what the car originally came with. **includes original factory 2b intake manifold and 2b carburetor. Both are in working condition. I upgraded to below to get a little more HP out of it. RECENTLY COMPLETED Chevrolet 283-Motor doesn't heat. Motor doesn't smoke. Motor doesn't knock, bang, tick, or the latter. Compression test was completed prior to additional components being installed on motor. Compression was normal and acceptable.-Upgraded to HEI ignition-NEW Comp Cams "mutha thumpa" cam-NEW Comp Cams lifters-NEW Comp Cams push rods-NEW Edelbrock dual plane intake-NEW Edelbrock 650 CFM manual choke carburetor (rejetted to run proper AFR)-NEW belts-NEW fuel filter-NEW Edelbrock air cleaner-NEW spark plugs-NEW long tube headers (included in trunk, not installed)-NEW glasspacks with turn downs (included in trunk, not installed)-NEW tires-NEW rear brake shoes-NEW rear wheel cylinders -NEW Battery-NEW battery cables -T200 Transmission - shifts solid, no issues, all gears work as they should.
