This autcion is for a 1980 Mercedes-Benz 450SL convertible. Both soft-top (not the original, but a replacement) and original hard-top are available. This was my father's summer drive before he had a stroke 3 years ago. Currently has 209800 miles on the odometer. A little rust on the body, and some tears in the upholstery. Front windshield and rear window of hard-top have cracks. Some inside trim is either missing or needs replacement. I've tried to clean up, fix, and maintain what I can, but this is definitely a fixer-upper if one's desire is to have a nice collector's vehicle. AC needs work, and the vacuum accessories like the power windows and locks need attention. The power radio antenna does not work. Windshield washer tank/pump needs to be replaced. Cassette radio is a 3rd party unit, not factory original. Does not have current emissions -- Larimer County Colorado EnviroTest will not test it at this time because at idle the oil pressure meter fluctuates too much for their liking. Power steering is a little hard until the car warms up (am told that a special mineral oil steering fluid is needed from the dealership). Occasionally the starter doesn't engage on the 1st try. Other than that, it starts right up and drives with little problem. Local pickup only in Loveland Colorado, please. Payment through PayPal or cash. Deposit through Paypal.
