Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is 1947 Dodge Club Coupe in need of total restoration. This car has been in my family since brand new and I have owned it since 1967. It once served as a daily driver in the early 70's but has been in dry storage for over 40 years. Currently a good bit of the car needs to be reassembled but restoration work has to be done before hand. The car has not been started in about 20 years. The good news is that it has the original factory 6 cylinder engine and matching fluid drive transmission. It had one repaint in the mid 60's in its original color. I also have all necessary parts to put back on the car including the bumpers, fenders, trim work ,chrome pieces etc. I also have a rebuilt starter which has never been installed that goes with the car. Also included is an extra dashboard and radio. All interested persons can come inspect the car before bidding but the pictures pretty much speak for themselves. The interior and exterior are both in need of restoring. I will be very happy to assist in helping to load the car onto your trailer when you come to pick it up. You may want to bring a truck also as there many parts to transport with the car which are not assembled on the car. The car is located in Poquoson, Virginia about 30 miles north of Virginia Beach, Virginia. This a no reserve auction and the high bidder will be the new owner of the car. The Old Car Price Guide list this car's value as $17,000 when fully restored. It would be a great father and son project and would be well worth your time since the Club Coupe edition is getting harder to find in restorable condition. It could be restored back to its original condition or made into a street rod. I do have a clear Virginia title for the car. Thanks for looking and Good Luck!
