Up for sale is a 1979 Ford Mustang "Fox body" hatchback. 2.3 4-cylinder, C3 automatic transmission. Runs and drives well. No smoke. Goes down the road straight as an arrow. The color is called Jade Green metallic, and is quite a rare color. No rust. There is a small dent in the hatch. Car was off the road from 1992 until about 2014. It has brand-new Good Year tires and recent shocks, full tuneup including plugs, plug wires, cap and rotor, fuel filter, oil pressure sending unit (replaced due to leaking) all factory Motorcraft parts. Air filter was also replaced with a Purolator filter, coolant flush with Prestone coolant, oil changed with Mobil 1 synthetic oil and Mobil 1 oil filter. Brand new updated fuel tank. New fuel pump and new thermostat. This car is a base model, it does not have factory air conditioning. It does, however, have power steering and power brakes. The car is 100% original. It has about 66,000 original miles. It has all paperwork since new including the owners card, window sticker, etc. The car will need a tailpipe, and the flywheel to be replaced. It has a dead spot on the flywheel. It only lands on the dead spot once in a while. When it does, I pop the hood, and turn the fan slightly clockwise and it starts right up. A brand new replacement flywheel will be included. I also have 3 yards of the original interior hounds tooth fabric for the car as well. The fabric is not a reproduction or a match, it is the factory original material. I will also include some other new parts with the car such as a brand-new, old stock, hood emblem and ignition module, rear axle cover gasket, and trans service kit, some hoses, and carburetor rebuild kit. We have the clear title for this car. The car could benefit from a carburetor adjustment or rebuild. It is a little bit sluggish when started cold, but it being carbureted, this is common. Once warmed up, it is fine. It starts up instantly in any temperature though. The front bumper/clip "sags" when it gets wet. This was apparently a common issue on the early Foxes. When it dries out, it pretty much goes back to its original shape. Pictures were taken after several days of rain since I could not catch a break. We were going to remove it, dry it out, and seal it with primer. That never happened. The car was built 10/1978, so it is a fairly early build, and falls into the category of "the bumpers with issues." Car to be picked up in Newark, Delaware 19702. Selling the car as is, where is. No warranty expressed, implied, or otherwise offered. No refunds will be given for any reason whatsoever. The car is over 37 years old. Your bid/purchase is a legally binding contract. A $250.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours after the sale. Full payment due within 5 days unless other arrangements are made and agreed to by both parties. Payment to be made in the form of cash upon pickup, or certified bank check (will have to clear before vehicle and title leave our possession). Any other payment methods MUST be agreed upon prior to hitting "buy it now." Paypal ONLY accepted for the deposit, unless other arrangements are discussed prior to the sale. Pick up within 10 days. Storage of $25.00 per day starting on day 11 if the vehicle is not picked up, again, unless other arrangements are made and agreed upon. I am a reasonable person, and am more than willing to work with the buyer if they are up front and honest with us.
