0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false 1967 Mustang Convertible Shelby Clone 289 cubic inch V8 with electronic points and a 2bbl Holley carb C4 Automatic transmission Power steering Power top I purchased the car in 1999 since that time I have replaced brakes, coil springs, leaf springs, power steering cylinder, tie rod ends and idler arm, floor pans, cowl, radiator, carpet, seat covers, dash pad and a new convertible top that was replaced in 2015. As far as I know the drive train is original and has not been rebuilt. Over the time I have owned the car I added many Shelby parts. These include: Fiberglass hood and hood pins, Shelby grille, Inboard headlights, extended nose and hood, fiberglass trunk lid, Magstar wheels, stripes, cougar taillights and taillight extensions, scoops, roll bar, stainless steel inserts, comfort weave seats, deluxe door panels, Cobra valve covers and air cleaner, rear quarter inserts and emblems. The car was wrecked at some point before I purchased it. I have included pictures of the welds on the frame rails as well as the fender well and radiator support. I had the car aligned soon after I purchased it and it aligned with no problem. I had it painted in 2004 but over the last ten years it has begun to show rust under the paint below the doors and paint cracking where body filler was used. It needs repainting. The car is a DRIVER not a show car. I use the car to drive to work on a regular basis. This is a good project car for someone that does not want to start from zero or who just wants a driver. All the expensive and hard to find Shelby parts are on the car.
