Vehicle Detail
1976 FORD GRAN TORINO SQUIRE BROUGHAM STATION WAGON I bought this great old wagon last year to save it from going to a derby. This car is an Original Blue-Plate California car from Brand new. ( Original plates still on car ) And this car is really solid. 76 was the last year for these Torino Wagons. The Woodgrain has 3 different things going on: A small amount of original, some re-done, and some painted-over. I don't have any answers as to why. SO, I bought a new Woodgrain kit from Sharpline to do the ENTIRE car. Once done, it will really shine. Since getting the car here to Denver, I bought a new set of tires, new Exhaust pipe in rear, and Driver-door Window fixed with a new roller. The car starts right-up! Drives good. Runs Very quiet as well. 351 Power Door locks ( The rear passenger-side seems to stick) AM/FM Stereo Radio works good. The A.C. is missing the Compressor and some attaching parts as well. I looked-up a company here on Ebay that has a Brand-new A.C. kit ( with compressor ) for $380 and have been in business a LONG time. Just wanted to throw it out there to give an idea on cost. The horn does not work. And there are some Dash bulbs that are burned-out. I've just run out of time to do anything else, but wanted to be up-front about anything big or small that I could think of. It is the 6 passenger Model. ( No rear jump seats) The car was a Ranch car. So, years of boots in and out of the car has created the need to get a new carpet kit. Tons of choices out there for around $150 The rear power tail-gate window works, but is slow. I'm sure I'm missing something, but if I think of anything else, I'll update the listing. I've been a Wagon guy for Decades and just wanted to save another one. This car is FAR from perfect, but California has been kind to this car since new. You Rust-belt folks know what I'm talking about. I would say you could drive it home, but I've put very few miles on it since last year and would not want to encourage that route. I'd be glad to make myself available for a shipper. And if you know someone local, they are Most Welcome to come see, drive, and inspect it. No warranty is being offered or implied. ( It's 40 years old ) My Feed-back speaks for itself. Any car I have EVER sold has given me 100 Percent positive feed-back. I would rate the car 6 out of 10 I'm usually hard on my own car ratings. My reserve is $500 less than I have into it. If you want to know the reserve, just shoot me an e-mail and I'll let you know. If you wanted to offer a buy it now , I'm always up for that! PLEASE e-mail any questions. I check e-mails at least 4 times every day. Also, I just remembered there is some spider-cracking in the paint, mostly rear passenger-side upper. I took 2 close-up shots to show this. They are the last 2 photos in the listing.
