Vehicle Detail
1974 Plymouth Barracuda B5 Lucerne Blue / White Interior (rare color combo) Original numbers engine & transmission Very rare car, low production 1 of only 1194 produced VIN BH23G4B354723 Up for auction is my very original 1974 Plymouth Barracuda. This car has the original engine, transmission and rear end. It was also repainted in its original color of Lucerne Blue. The white interior is also the correct color per the fender tag. This is a rare and desirable color combo. The car is a very unmolested car. I believe all the body panels to be original to the car. Many if not all of the body panels have the original numbers stamped into them (fenders, hood, radiator support, trunk). Original fender tag on the drivers side fender (see decode info below). The mileage on the car reads 68,157 which I believe could be the original miles. The car idles, runs and drives great. Drives straight down the freeway with no pulling or wandering. Engine idles smooth and steady (see the videos of the engine running in this auction). It has factory air conditioning, power steering, disc brakes and dual exhaust. The exhaust note is nice, not too loud but has a low rumble. The engine is the original 318 with chrome valve covers and air cleaner added (I have the original air cleaner and valve covers). It has new carpet and the front seat covers appear to be new. All the electricals work- horn, lights, blinkers, brake lights, interior dome light, etc. The fuel guage and radio do not work. The car also has new tires with the hard to find rally ‘road wheels’. In the trunk is a full spare wheel/tire and original jacking equipment. This car is in driver condition, not a show car but looks amazing - perfect for Sunday drives and local shows. It gets a ton of looks going down the road and I receive many compliments on this car. It is a very rare with a low production number of around 1194 cars made. Even less in this color combination. I have the original build sheet, original owners manual and original keys for the car. The factory put these cars together well, I see a lot of restored stuff that does not go back too well. I have the car priced with a low reserve….this is a car that someone can take to the next restoration level, or drive and show now. Feel free to email me with any questions. This is a very rare car, very low production, especially in this color combination. There is no doubt that this car will appreciate in value over the next several years and is better than money sitting in your bank account, since you can enjoy the car while it appreciates (should appreciate faster than the interest from the loan for that matter). This is a great example of an original Barracuda. It is seldom one finds a car like this and it is getting harder to find cars in this kind of original condition…..so bid early, don’t miss out! A lot of my auctions end early, so if you have a price in mind, please call me! My feedback speaks for itself, so bid with confidence. I have sold many muscle cars from my private collection with very happy buyers…..Please email with any questions prior to bidding. I encourage you to come see the car in person if you like or send someone, please email me to arrange a time. I will not disclose the reserve price but am willing to hear offers. If you are serious about the car please bid. Do not bid if you cannot afford the car or do not have the funds available to follow thru with the transaction, if you need someone’s permission to buy the car or are waiting on funds to pay for the car. If you have negative feedback from a previous Ebay Motors auction, please do not bid! Terms of Sale: This auction is a legally binding contract, DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU INTEND TO FOLLOW THROUGH AND PAY FOR THE VEHICLE. This auction costs me money to list, so don't bid if you can't afford to pay for the car. Should the high bidder back out, Ebay will be contacted.
