This is not a corvette that has bounced around the auction circuit or gone from one dealer to another it has been owned by private owners only. All numbers matching car, block, heads, intake, carb, distributor, water pump, starter, exhaust manifolds, alternator, correct original dated jack, original radiator, transmission and rear. 5 owner car that comes with original documentation like owner's manual, radio manual, protect o plate, tank sticker not too readable, original owners title and his original license plate and copies of all following owners title, one original key. Letters from the original owner giving some history on the car. This was also a corvette news calendar car for 1979; paper work for this is a letter congratulating the owner, a sticker that is still on the car rear window, the original photo used in the calendar, the corvette news magazine showing the winners for the 1979 year calendar and the actual calendar. Photos of the restoration, receipts for the work done, hand written notes about the restoration. This car was ordered with a dealer installed big block hood, letter from the first owner explains he ordered the car upon his return from Vietnam, he liked the look of the big block hood so had the dealer install one. Does come with that original big block hood and is in perfect condition, it also went to NCRS judging with that hood on and still achieved top flight its first two times out. During my owner ship for correct appearance and for correct judging I did remove the big block hood and replaced with a correct original small block hood. I have been offered big money for the hood, but I feel it should go with the car and hope its future care takers feel the same as it is part of this cars history. I'm asking $76,500 and mildly negotiable on it.
