PLEASE DO NOT BID, WIN THE AUCTION AND TELL ME YOU ARE SHORT MONEY TO PAY. THAT HAS A NEGATIVE IMPACT ON THE AUCTION. This 1981 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler is a great rig. It runs strong and, with its MOPAR Fuel Injection, it is a very capable off-roader. A great combination of sturdy stock equipment and nicely matched after-market components, this one's a real head-turner. Manufactured between 1981 and 1986, there were only 26,000 of these Scramblers produced. They are pretty scarce, and Scramblers this nice are rarely seen. Especially RUST FREE examples. It has been in New Mexico it's entire life. I have owned it for about a year in a half. This is an original New Mexico Jeep that has been in my heated garage since coming to Michigan.Check out these features:MechanicalAmerican Motors/Jeep 258 Cubic Inch (4.2 Liter) Inline 6-Cylinder EngineMOPAR Multiport Electronic Fuel Injection Kit (Professionally Installed)Aluminum (Die Cast) Valve Cover with New GasketsStock 4-Speed Manual TransmissionStock Dana 30 Front and RearStock Dana 300 Transfer Case and Locking HubsOptima "Red Top" BatteryNew AlternatorNew Aluminum RadiatorNew Front Brake LinesNew Plugs and MSD Plug WiresFactory A/C (Working as well as they ever did)New Heater Blower Motor and Heater CoreSuspension, Tires, BumpersTrailmaster 3" Suspension LiftNew ShocksSteering Stabilizer33 X 12.5 50LT Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac Tires (Less than 1,500 Miles, New Spare)American Racing Wheels, New Steel Spoke Spare WheelTubular Steel Front BumperHeavy Duty Rear Bumper with Locking Swing Arm Spare Tire Mount, Hitch Receiver, Heavy Duty D-Rings, Two Steel 5-Gallon Jerry Cans, Hi-Lift Trail Jack, and ShovelTubular Steel Rock Guards/Running BoardsStock Roll Bar, Powder CoatedInterior Features, Interior and Exterior Trim, and ExtrasAM/FM Stereo CD with blue tooth and new speakersNew Radio AntennaRhino lined bed New Wiper Motor, Wiper Switch and Wiper Fluid ReservoirNew Weather StrippingPowder Coated Trim Pieces, Door Handles and MirrorsFender Flares (Front and Rear)New Kentrol TJ-style Hood CatchesNew Clear-style Headlights with New Bulbs and New SwitchNew Parking LightsNew LED TaillightsNew Chrome Headlight BezelsNew Jeep BadgesNew Steel Interior Door Pulls and Grab HandleNew Tuffy Security Locking Center Console with Secure Stereo CompartmentNew Tuffy Security Locking Glove CompartmentNew Interior Door Panels and Window CranksNew Dash PadNew CarpetHeavy Duty Spill-Containing Floor MatsRhino Bed Liner and Interior Floor (Under Carpet)Odometer zeroed in 2010 as it was replaced. Stock odometer read 13,359 at that time. Assume that the odometer has rolled over. It does NOT burn or smoke oil. This is NOT a frame-off restoration, but it IS a great-looking and performing classic Jeep that will provide plenty of enjoyment.Paint is not perfect, but still looks good. No body dents or dings--only very minor surface scratching and a couple of chips in the paint typical for off-road vehicles (I tried to photograph the obvious ones).Straight frame, no rust, no accidents.Tracks and handles quite well. It's a great Jeep. I can't stress enough how rust free and having original steel means to these trucks. I bought it because of that reason alone. It has been extremely dependable, starts every time. I have also since installed new U joints (4) and a new clutch and pressure plate assembly. Please ask questions before you bid. Texting is good as well. 248.495.3965. I reserve to end the auction at any time. $500 non refundable deposit due within 24 hours of auction end. Thanks!
