1948 Ford F1 pickup: Ok here is the deal with this truck. If you are looking for an honestly great F1 Ford you really need to take a close look at this truck. The cab is a rust free cab and is as structurally sound as it was when it was new. The fenders and running boards are premium fiberglass which is very thick. These panels do not have any fiberglass waves or wrinkles as many fiberglass panels do yet saving weight. Bottom side of fenders are lined so you do not have to worry about rocks spidering the outside finish. The hood and bed are steel as the cab is and rust free also. Paint is high quality with no issues, no chips, cracks or etc as you can see in the detailed photos. All stainless chrome is original and has been polished to an outstanding luster. The interior seats are cloth power on the drivers and manual on the passenger side. Carpet is new premium quality as everything else on and in the truck is also. All lamps are new which included high intensity headlamps and turn signals. Instrumentation is Dakota digital which is amazing, new professional wiring complete from headlamps to tail lamps. MECHANICAL: Engine is 1992 Mustang 5.0 HO backed up with 4 speed transmission, followed with Ford 8.8 traction lock rear end with TA performance support cover. Complete fuel system is new from new gas tank, electric fuel pump, fuel lines, filters and new 600 Holley carburetor. Stainless steel Shelby TRI-Y headers, Cobra oval air cleaner, Ford racing valve covers, performance plug wires, plug wire covers, serpentine pulley system with P/S, aluminum high volume radiator with aluminum overflow. Aluminum dual exhaust with stainless side tips deliver an outstanding sound yet still quite inside. SUSPENSION: Front suspension is second generation Firebird. Z28 1 1/4" anti sway bar, fully adjustable tube upper control arms and lower tube control arms with coil over adjustable springs. New steering components including new gear box. Steering is tight and turns corners like a sports car. BRAKES: Front brakes are Pontiac Firebird power disc brakes, Corvette master cylinder and booster, with remote filler reservoir and Cadillac Eldorado rear disc brakes. Parking brake lever is mounted between seats and works great. Brakes will stop as well as most anything on the road today. WHEELS/TIRES: Front wheels are 7"X18" chrome Foose five spoke with 225/45/ZR 18" street tires. Rear wheels are 9"X18" chrome Foose five spoke with 275/40/ZR 18" street tires. IN ADDITION: This truck can be shown or driven anywhere you desire with no concern to mechanical problems. Solid in every way and drives perfect. This truck runs very respectable but is not a race truck, yet strong. I desired dependability more than speed. I am 61 years of age and simply want it to go to a good home.
