Up for auction is very rare 1983 Mercedes GE280. **VIN#46023217026221** This G has very unique option 4x4 and only has back lock differential, this option came straight from the factory and by having only the back lock differential makes the car cruise smooth on the freeway 60-65 MPH. No Front lock differential. The car also has four speed manual transmission that was rebuilt back in October of 2009. I do have the service records. GE280 stands for in line 6 2.8 Gas engine. The car drives and runs without any problems. The engine is strong and transmission is good. In the past 10 years the vehicle wasn't driving really much. The G has 116,600 miles, but the Speedometer has only five digits and it turn over once. Speedometer currently reads at 16,600. The Mercedes has original rims and 33 inches off road tires that is about 60% good. The G has some rust in the back panels under the tell lights and one more small spot on the left side quarter panel other than that the car is very solid. The car has original paint, except the right side quarter panel I am not sure why that was repainted. Interior is in good/excellent condition. The passenger side seat and the backseat are like new, Driver seat is good but it has a small rip check the photo for details. It has a original vinyl floors that is in good shape. Also this Mercedes has the back side windows that they slide open, very cool option. The car comes with original importation papers and owner’s manual and some service records that goes back to almost 84. This is a gray market vehicle, Please check with your local DMV if it's OK for you to register in your state. The car has US title since 1984. With all being said keep in the back of your mind this is a 30+ years old vehicle and due to the age of the vehicle the car is sold as is without any kind of warranty or extended warranty.
