You are bidding on a beautifully preserved 1977 GMC High Sierra, short bed 1/2 ton. This is a California truck, still wearing ALL of it's original paint. No surprises here. The body is exceptionally straight, and the original Lite Blue paint still shines quite well. The only rust I was able to see, is a small hole about the size of a quarter on the passenger side floor, where the carpet it worn away. Frame, doors, bed, rockers, fenders, etc., are all what you would expect from a rust-free California truck. The engine is a 350 4bbl, which appears to be original. The transmission was replaced sometime in the past with a TH350. The interior is all original as well, and the AM/FM radio still works just as it did when new. The dash is beautiful, and not warped, but does have some cracking around the speaker area. The truck runs and drives great! It is a pleasure every time I take it out. It feels like a time machine. Tires are excellent. The heat works great. The truck is equipped with factory air conditioning, but it is not hooked up, and some of the components may be missing. I do have the compressor. All of the A/C components on the firewall are intact, but the condenser is missing. I believe I do have the hoses, and dryer still attached to the compressor. Odometer shows about 89k miles, but speedometer is not working. However, judging by the wear on the brake pedal, I'd assume the mileage is probably pretty close to that. The doors close nice and solid, just like when it was new. Zero bondo anywhere. Has rare "Spare Tire Delete" option, which moved the spare tire into the drivers side of the bed. I do have the spare with matching rallye wheel, but not the hardware. You can see the bracket pictured in the front drivers side of the bed. This is a great truck to either customize, restore, or just enjoy as is. So much potential with a truck like this. These C-10 squarebody trucks are the next big thing, and are instant classics.
