1978 F-250 4wd. camper special with 41000 original miles. 400cid , C6 auto, dana 44 front and dana 60 rear axles, NP205 transfer case, dual fuel tanks, dry steering knuckles, integral power steering box(no power drag link mess or wet knuckles to leak). All original except : leaf springs, seats, wheels, tires, shocks, front bumper. I've owned this truck for 15 yrs. It had 15000 miles when I bought it. I had the body repainted darker blue than original(interior is stock paint) and I painted the frame and chassis with industrial black paint. I couldn't stand the bench seat so I installed leather power seats from a 01 cadillac deville. Has custom leaf springs from national spring that also lifted it 4 inch or so. Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks are in the stock mounts and I added Gabriel air shocks on custom mounts in rear. 35" BFG. all terrains on dayton steel wheels. Has a winch type front bumper with no winch just makes it easier to work under hood. 4wd works well, still drives and steers like a new truck. No leaks. No major rust , some surface rust here and there and the front fuel tank support is rusted through, and has hole in muffler, all door and window weatherstripping is new ,windshield weatherstrip and door window felt and seals are new, Engine runs well, is stock and smog legal for CA. I had the trans. redone in 2001 at 16000 miles just for peace of mind and has always worked perfect . The dash is original and has some cracks ,The paint is good but not perfect, there are small chips and scratches and the hood and roof has some fading but looks fine from more than 10 ft. away, only dents are on tailgate,and there is some small rust trough holes in the bottom of bed from standing water before I owned it, the bed was acid treated and painted in 2001 and still looks fine. I had A/C recharged in 2002 and still blows cold. Only problems are the fuel tank support needs repair ,the muffler needs to be replaced and the dash lights don't work, I may make those repairs if the truck doesn't sell soon.
