For Sale is a one owner 1966 Rambler Ambassdor 990 Sedan. The car is 100 % complete, and original including paint and interior. The car came from an estate and was in dry storage inside since 1981. I purchased the car from the estate, includes a clear Kansas Title and Owner Manual, Accessory Booklet, Owner Protection with owners card, and Radio Warranty Card. The car was built in Kenosha, WI, it was sold new by Han Motor in Brookfield, Missouri, then sold to the family I purchased it from in 1969. PLEASE SEE ALL 24 PHOTO'S. The condition is as follows: Exterior: Very straight and solid, the floors are clean, the car was undercoated when new, the entire car is 100% clean and rust free. The exterior paint color is Granada Green Metallic, the paint is all original, it does have a few minor dings and paint chips, I see no evidence of old body or paint work, there is no hail damage. All glass is good. The grill, bumpers, and chrome is complete and in very good condition, one wheel cover has some curb rash scraping. The trunk has the original mat, original spare tire, jack and all hardware. Mechanical: the power train is complete, this has an original engine everything under the hood is complete and looks good. The engine runs good, the transmission shifts smoothly. All brakes and steering are original and complete, but the brakes don't hold, the power steering works great and is quite. The engine is a 6 main bearing 232 6 cylinder, 2 barrel, the transmission is a three speed automatic. The car runs very well and the transmission shifts fine. There has been an electric fuel pump installed, the original mechanical pump is bad, the fuel system has been cleaned. It drives fine, but I only drove it a short distance because of the brakes. The tries have good thread, but are weather checked. The engine starts fine and purrs like a kitten. There are no oil drips. Interior: The original color is dark green and is complete, the dash is very clean and nice, all door panels are good, the original seats and carpet are near perfect, the headliner looks like new. The dash is very clean and nice. The radio work fine, the heater blower works, the A/C needs charged. The fuel gauge does not work. Options: The car has factory A/C, power steering, map light, courtesy original AM radio, original front seat belts, day night interior rear view mirror with Rambler marking, factory exterior rear view mirror, and trunk light. The VIN is A6KA55M102766, actual mileage is 50138. Overall this is a great car, the doors close like a new car, the window glass rolls up and down great, to be 100% road worthy is would need all fluids changed, brake master cylinder, tires and probably hoses and belts and radiator cleaned.
