Vehicle Detail
For Sale is a one owner 1965 Chevy Impala 6 Passenger Station Wagon. The car is 100 % complete, and original including paint and interior. The car came from an estate and was in storage inside since 1977. I purchased the car from the estate, includes a clear Kansas Title and Owner Manual with Warranty and Protection Plate. The Impala was built in St. Louis MO, it was sold new in Lucas, Kansas and was there since new. PLEASE SEE ALL 24 PHOTO'S. The condition is as follows: Body: Overall very straight and solid, the floors are rust free, the car was undercoated when new, the spare tire well and cargo area are 100% clean and rust free. The exterior paint color is Sierra Tan Metallic with Cameo Beige Top, the paint is all original, it does have some minor dings and paint chips, there has been some minor body repair work done on the left rear quarter panel which does show. The hood has some hail dents, and there are some minor dents on the right side above the center body line, the rest of the body has no hail denting. There are no rust holes showing in the body, but both front fenders have some brown sports in the lower area behind the rocker moldings, there also looks to be some rust under the rocker molding on the left rear quarter panel under the lower molding behind the rear tire only. All glass is good except a crack in the windshield. The grills, bumpers, chrome is complete and good used, except the quarter corner moldings below the tail lights have some dents. Mechanical: the power train is complete, this has an original engine everything under the hood is complete and looks good. The engine does not turn over, (I hooked up a battery and the starter would engage, but would not spin, I did not check any further) I don't know if there is an engine problems or the problem is from sitting since 1977, the engine oil was full, and looks clean (see photo). All brakes and steering are original and complete, but the brakes don't hold, the car steers and rolls freely. The engine is a 283 2 barrel, the transmission is a powerglide automatic. When the electrical was hooked up the dash did light up and the controls seemed to work. Interior: The original color is Saddle and is complete, the dash is very clean and nice, all door panels are good, the original carpet would clean up, it is not torn or rotted, the headlinder looks like new. The glove box door has been replaced and is a slightly different color and there is some minor dash damage on the underside by the glove box lock (looks like some pryed the door open at one time) the front seat is worn on the driver side only all other seating area is good, the cargo area is clean and the back seat folds down with ease, the tail gate opens and closes fine and the rear glass rolls down and up freely. There is some damage on the tailgate inner cover panel on the lower side. The storage area in the back area is very solid, no rust and all original paint (see photo), I did remove the mat for the photo, but it is included. Options: The car has factory A/C, Original AM Deluxe pushbutton radio, front seat body by fisher seat belts, wheel opening moldings, and rocker moldings. The VIN is 16435S144772, actual mileage is 113096. I do have all needed paperwork. If you have a question about the item, please email, or call 620-793-2749.
