Vehicle Detail
Was sitting in a dry heated garage since 1991, and driven only little before that...believed to be only two owners until now, and no reason to think the odometer is not accurate, the car is in lovely shape, not worn out, it's certainly not a 117000 mile car, no way, look at the photos. It required little to get it running, a new battery and a new solid-state SU fuel pump, and a new master cylinder and brake distribution block to get brakes. It is still leaking at one line, but that should be adressed before you pick up the car, the parts are on order. It starts instantly and runs beautifully, shifts through all the gears with no noise, clutch is good, can drive it around no problem, but keep your hand near the handbrake until the new brake line gets installed! There is no rust to be seen anywhere, including underneath, again, look at the pictures. It is still running on the old plugs and points and such, you can give it a proper tuneup if you like, but running very well as-is. There is a slight ding on the right front fender, not very noticeable, but see the picture. The chrome is very nice, the chrome headlights have a little pitting and scratching(from the hood being opened) but they still look good. The paint is well done, excellent, shines very nicely, there are some chips and such here and there, nothing that cannot be touched up. The convertable top works very well and is not rotten, and there are side curtains in very good condition included, but the clear windows on them are somewhat yellowed. Engine starting crank is clipped into the holder behind the seats, and yes...it will start on the crank. Wooden dash is beautiful, as is the period aftermarket wooden steering wheel. Lights and horn all work, but the highbeam is out on one side. Tires are OK, there is some cracking on some of them, but they all hold air. The wheels on one side of the car have some surface rust and can use repainting. There is also an unused leather hood strap included. This is not a project car...aside from a small leak in the brakes(which I will fix if the parts arrive in time, but no guarantee) this is a running, driving car, that presents beautfully as-is, looks just great, very tasteful color combination, and not ratty at all in any way. You can come and see it in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey to inspect if you like.I highly doubt you will find another in such original condition with such low mileage anywhere. And the price I am asking is a very good deal, moving on to another project.Depost due within 48 hours, full payment within seven days, cash only, pickup within seven days, we can work with any shipper you have to send this car anywhere you like.
