Up for Auction is a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid with a bad CVT Transmission. The engine runs and does not leak, the oil has been changed regularly using Mobil 1 0W-20 Synthetic oil. A/C works, front brakes have recently been changed, tires have good tread, working battery, working IMA Hybrid Battery (replaced in 2011). EPS steering is working, IMA Battery holds a full charge. The interior is in very good condition and has been owned by NON-SMOKERS. All lights and instrumentation, door locks, trunk lock, and windows work correctly. The car is in good condition overall but needs a new or rebuilt CVT transmission. The CVT transmission went out and needs to be replaced. The bad transmission is still installed in the vehicle. Rebuilt or salvage CVT transmissions run between $1650 and $3000. The Airbag-inflator recall for the driver and passenger airbags is still outstanding and the buyer will need to take it to their local Honda dealer. This service will be performed free of charge at the Honda dealership. This car would be an excellent value for someone who is willing to replace the transmission. The vehicle must be towed.
