Vehicle Detail
I'm really not wanting to sell my baby. I had plans of spending a little time on it and making her a show car to pass down to my boys, but as it turn out, life has led me in a different direction. I'm in the process of starting my own company to hopefully pass it down to them instead. I've already sold off most of my other toys and was putting off selling my beautiful Galaxie. However, selling her will ensure I have all the capitol needed for tools and equipment for the new company without going into debt. So, our new venture is your gain. Here she is: I have an all original 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 XL. (The very sought after stacked headlight year model) Original 289, automatic. EDIT: .....only 55,xxx original miles..... Might go up a couple miles as I do drive it around town every now and then. What you see is original.....original paint, glass, and interior. Interior is in excellent shape. No rips or tears in seats. Headliner is perfectly attached as should be. Glass is in excellent condition. There's a few dings and dents. Small baseball size dent in hood and a little larger dent in trunk lid. Has very little rust. A little in rear left fender and one just below trunk lid, and a small spot near driver door. All can be easily fixed. Wouldn't take much to make it a show car. Floor pans are completely solid. All chrome trim is there and in excellent condition. It sat for 6-7 years prior to me purchasing it. Fresh gas, new starter, and plugs and it fired right. Runs and drives good. Suspension and steering feel good. Photos are as the car will be sold. They are NOT edited. There is some dust on the car in the pics from it sitting in my shop. Don't miss your chance to own a piece of American Muscle history. They only made this body style for 1 year! You won't find many original 65's in this great of a condition. The pictures don't do it justice, it looks 100x better in person. CLEAN TITLE.Can deliver for $1.50 per loaded mile. Located in Huntsville Tn 37756 Call or text: 865-617-623zero with questions I figure it to be in average value condition considering its ALL original. But may even be better than than. Q: How is the floor pans, rockers, trunk, and underneath?A: Completely solid. Only spot in any of those is whats already listed in the trunk lid (can be seen in photo), and one spot just below the lid. Trunk pan is good. Q: Are there any leaks or drips?A: Yes there are a couple small ones. As stated, it sat for 6-7 years before I purchased it. They do NOT affect the mechanical performance. Q: How are the tires?A: They have plenty of tread and hold air but are dry rotted from sitting. I drive the car around my town every not and then within 3-5 miles and fairly low speed and haven't had any issues, but they will need to be replaced. This is NOT a showroom ready car. It's an original 65 in great shape for being original. If you're expecting to take it straight to a car show, then keep looking. If you're looking for a great start to a show car having to put minimal work into it then this is the classic car for you.
