Vehicle Detail
Hello. You are bidding on a 1970 Camaro shell. It has been blasted down to bare metal and sealed in epoxy. What you see is what you get in the pictures. Condition is as follows: Engine is a 325 HP 396 out of a 68 Chevelle hooked to a TH 350 transmission. Per the previous owner the engine was said to have under 5000 miles, .030 pistons and a healthy cam. Transmission is said to have been rebuilt as well. I bolted on a carb, gave it some fresh gas and it fired right up, did not smoke, and ran great. Body as you can see in the pictures is VERY solid, all panels are GM. Front clip is all GM and very straight. Subframe is straight and solid but could use blasted and repainted. Hood is a Glasstek pin on style. Cowl ad drains are excellent. Firewall was filled where the heater box would mount. There is a couple of small spots of rust through at the corner of the dash. Small spots, very repairable. Roof and window channels are excellent. Door jambs and floors are excellent. Doors are excellent but side impact beams were removed to reduce weight, nothing that will effect mounting of window hardware etc. Yes, the door glass and regulators, latches come with other parts pictured. Trunk extensions are excellent. Taillight panel is solid but needs a little bodywork below the bumper. Wheelwell lips, framerails and all underbody metal is all in great shape. Passenger quarter panel is overall straight but needs a spot of rust fixed on the lower dogleg, and rear lower patch. Has a wrinkle on the rear corner as well. Nothing that justifies quarter panel replacement though. Drivers side quarter was a GM donor done back in the day. Welding on the top was done poorly, the rest fits good. As this was to be a race car, trunk hinges were removed and a fiberglass pin on style decklid is what comes with the car. Comes with all parts pictured, nothing more, nothing less. As you can see this is a very solid builder for street or roadrace. Potential Buyers: I have described this car honestly and to the best of my knowledge, but please, if you need additional pictures, or have any specific questions, please ask BEFORE bidding as this sale is final with no warranty. Serious buyers can feel free to call me with any questions at (530) 307-8973. If I don't answer, please leave me a message and I will call you back!! Lowball offers will not receive a response, I am not out of work, losing my house, etc. I also reserve the right to end auction at any time for local sale. Yes. This car is available in person for inspection at any time before the end of auction. SERIOUS BIDDERS WITH 15 OR LESS FEEDBACK WILL CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING AS I WILL CANCEL YOUR BID OTHERWISE. NOTHING PERSONAL, BUT I HAVE DEALT WITH TOO MANY NON-PAYING BIDDERS IN THE PAST AND IT WILL NOT HAPPEN TO ME AGAIN. THANKS. Out of country buyers: I have sold cars out of country in the past, have references and am familiar with the shipping process. I prefer West Coast Shipping but will help arrange safe transport to a shipping port of your choice.
