Vehicle Detail
Awesome running and driving 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe. I am selling this for a friend of mine. He has had it for years and looked around for even longer till his found this great Ford. It runs and drives great. Starts up easy and is a joy to drive. Hugh has spent countless hours tuning and upgrading this Ford. He pulled the motor and had it gone through to make sure it was right. He upgraded the radiator to an aluminum one to keep it cool. The car runs and drives like a dream and has been a pleasure to own. He has decided to part with some of cars just because he does not have the time to devote to them anymore. All the car needs is a new owner and of course the normal maintenance these old cars need. The tires are good and the suspension and brakes are good as well The interior is a tweed similar to the original style. There is an after market installed as well as after market gauges to keep an eye on the temp, oil pressure etc. This car is the marque of his collection and he has spent countless hours tending to it. It get looks wherever he goes. Don't miss out on the opportunity to get this great vehicle. Feel free to call me with questions 334-393-8448 On Nov-05-15 at 04:00:26 PST, seller added the following information: Wow just to clarify. This is a Tudor Deluxe not a coupe. Please bid accordingly. On Nov-05-15 at 19:10:07 PST, seller added the following information: Ok here is a better description. Sorry for the confusion I should have done a better job of doing my homework before I listed the car last nite. My friend has owned this car since Oct of 2000. He bought it cause it is like the 2nd car he owned growing up. He has well over $20,000 in the car. The buyer will be a VHS tape showing all the work that he has done to the car. It has truly been a labor of love and he is only selling it cause he no longer has the time to devote to it and does not want to just let it sit. The car itself has approx. 1600 miles since it was restored. It was bead blasted and taken down to bare metal and any rust was professionally removed when it was restored. It has been garaged ever since then. The interior was redone at the same time as well. All the gauges work and as stated above after market ones have been added just to be safe. The motor in the car is not original to it and came out of a early 40s pickup truck. It was professionally rebuilt before it was installed in the car. The original motor ran great and is included with the car if the reserve is met. The original motor had 143HP and the one in it now has 163 HP. The care and maintenance done to this car over the years that Hugh has owned it is not something that you can pay someone to do. He did it as a labor of love that you will see when you watch the restoration video. This car is the marque of his collection. Please feel free to call or email if you have any questions. If I don't know the answer I will of course find it out for youOn Nov-10-15 at 18:16:39 PST, seller added the following information: Good Evening I just lowered the reserve on this fantastic 40 Ford Tudor Bid to win You wont be disappointed. Hugh also brought a few things to me to day that will go with the car. He has the original radio that he sent off and had rebuilt to the tune of $400.00 The aftermarket radio was installed without cutting the dash so this would go a long way towards making the interior more original. He also has a repair manual that will go with the car. There is also a front grille that is original and needs work and a couple headlite rings and a box of misc parts. There is also parts to an original heater system.
