Incredible show carDatsun Z with 350 Small Block Chevy engine, Tremic 5-speed. This is the third time I’ve listed the car. The first time it ended with a flake bidder. The second it got very close to the reserve. If it doesn’t sell this time, I’m going to take it to the Mecum auction in Kissimmee in January, so don’t wait until the auction ends and try to buy it. Over $45,000 in parts alone plus 3 years in the detailed, painstaking build.Early model 1974 Datsun 260 Z meticulously restored from the frame up on a rotisserie.Body: Stripped to bare metal and completely restored on a rotisserie. The paint is first rate - show quality all the way. All the panel gaps are straight and even. Everything is laser straight. Take it straight to the shows and start collecting trophies. Chassis: Stripped completely to bare metal. Frame rails reinforced with 1/8” channel steel; Sub-frames connected with custom made 1/8” thick steel connectors; POR15 rust proofing thru-out. Underside of the car is a thing of beauty. Suspension: All moving parts were replaced with new Nissan parts; Urethane bushings. Arizona Z differential mount and mustache bar; Eibach Progressive Rate springs; Tokico 5 way adjustable shocks; Three way strut tower braces; Front and rear anti sway bars. Brakes: Fronts are Toyota 4x4 dual piston calipers; 11” discs; Kevlar pads; Rears are Nissan 240SX calipers; 11” discs; Kevlar pads; Wilwood brake proportioning system; stainless steel lines. Interior Features; this is really special custom interior. Retains the original Datsun look, but with contemporary materials. This is what this interior would look like if Datsun built this car today. Insulated with Fat Mat thru out; covered with two layers of fiber and foil heat and sound insulation; The seats, dash and interior panels are covered in faux leather and is all French stitched.
