Vehicle Detail
1984 Chevy El Camino SS Choo Choo Custom - Designer Series. This is a 2 owner car with a clear title from the state of CT. This is a true Choo Choo Custom car, this is not a replica. I've included a picture of the ID sticker from Choo Choo Customs Inc located inside the driver's door jamb. There were only 1309 Choo Choo's made in 1984, so this is a pretty rare car. First off, I've included as many detailed pictures of this car as possible. Please take a close look at the pictures so you can better see the different details and issues I describe below. Mechanically the car runs, drives, and stops good. The car has the original 305-V8 with the original Turbo 350 transmission and original Posi-Trac rear end differential, (Limited Slip). The interior is blue with cloth buckets seats with the center console and automatic floor shifter. Other factory options the car has is the original AM/FM Stereo with Cassette player, Factory Gauges, and Tilt Wheel. As for the exterior, the car was re-painted it's original white color 15 or 20 years ago, however the owner at that time never replaced the SS decals. Some of the trim has been removed from the car. All the parts and trim you see in the pictures is included with the car. The body has several area's of rust that should be addressed. Some of the area's are the lower front fenders, the bottom of the doors, and the lower rear quarter panels. There is also rust in the bed floor, across the top of the cross member, (the area above the rear axle). The good news is the body is very straight with virtually no dents anywhere. As for the underside/undercarriage. The frame rails at the very back of the car are rotted and need to be replaced. There's also frame rust on the driver's side in front of the rear axle near where the trailing arm attaches. The floors are also pretty rusty around the seams and there a hole near the back of the driver's side floor panel. All the patch panels for this car are available through several different catalogue companies. Replacement rear frame rails are also available, as are replacement floor panels, SS decals, etc. As for shipping the car, transport arrangements and costs are the buyer's responsibility, however I can assist your transport company with loading. I can store the car for 3 or 4 weeks after the end of the auction if necessary if you need a little time to make arrangements. Thanks for looking
