We originally purchased this Silverado SS with the intent of using it as a parts truck and tow rig for our track car. We ended up trading the track car to a customer, so we're now offering the Silverado for sale. These are great looking, great performing trucks which are still in high demand. If you love the look of a custom Chevy, and are looking to get a great deal on an SS, you'll want to get in on this no reserve auction. We have cash in the truck and are starting low, because it's got to go. The exterior black paint looks sharp from a few feet away, though it does does have plenty of light scratches up close. A good buffing would definitely clean a some of it up. There's no exterior rust, and the SS trim is in good shape, with the exception of the driver's side door. As is common with Chevys from northern climates, the rocker panels are rusted out (they're hidden by the SS body cladding and are replaceable). The tailgate handle pullrod has a broken plastic guide on one side (also a common problem) and the secondary exterior door handles don't work, however if you just use the inside handle the doors open. There are no accidents reported on CarFax and no indications that the truck has ever had any body repair. We have driven this truck on six hour round trips without any issues whatsoever. The ride is smooth and comfortable, and the 6.0l V8 pulls strong and has plenty of power. All lighting, gauges and electrical components are in perfect working order. The factory SS wheels are in very nice condition, though the tires are at the end of their life and will need to be replaced, so bid accordingly. We have a spare set of Centerline wheels with healthy snow tires on them for any customer who has a need for them (optionally included). The automatic overdrive transmission shifts smoothly, the brakes are strong, and the truck generally feels solid. The interior is clean and in average condition for the age and mileage. It was previously driven by a smoker, and we have cleaned and deodorized it. The driver's seating surface is free of cracks or tears, though there is a tear on the size of the seat which is visible in the photos. All interior accessories are in working order, including power seats, windows, locks, etc. Specifications for the Silverado SS Extended cab are as follows: - 6.0l V8 with 350hp and 400ftlb torque - Automatic 4 Speed Overdrive transmission with AWD - SS Embroidered Leather seats - Bose CD Stereo - Remote Start - Cruise, ABS, Power windows/locks/mirrors - Factory bedliner - Trailer hitch, 7500lb towing capacity This Silverado has a few minor issues, none of which are showstoppers, but any potential bidder or buyer should be aware of them. An aftermarket remote start system has been installed, and as a result of the installation, the truck will only start when the remote is used and not when the ignition is turned. Additionally, the catalytic converter was removed by the previous owner. Queen City Motorsports will have this replaced this at our cost for the winning bidder.
