Up for auction is a drivable complete all original 2 door 1963 Ford Galaxie 500XL box top badged 390 equipped with a 390 v8 engine, 48,300 miles with a holly 4 barrel carb dual exhaust and power steering, automatic on the floor(console) bucket seats. Car has set for quite a few years in dry storage so recently just had some mechanical work done: carb was rebuilt, fuel tank dropped and drained, new filter/plugs wires and the brake light switch was replaced. Now with that being said the car does run and drive, tranny shifts as it should, brakes work( does pull to left when applied hard, drums all way around) but may still have some bugs to work out from sitting for such a long period of time! Interior is actually decent for a 52yr old car, still has original owners manual in glove box seats/headliner/center console/door panels/chrome door sills all good, does need complete weather stripping for doors replaced, the carpet is nice and everything works as it should except for the horn (even all dash/instrument cluster lights work.) The body is 70% solid, trunk/fenders/doors/rad support/trunk deck/hood/wheel wells/frame and bumpers solid. Both rear quarters above wheels (see pics) and passenger floor pan needs attention, tires (dry rotted) and parking brake cables need replaced. This would be an ideal car for a rat rod or restro as it is complete, which is a rare find, all chrome/body parts/pieces etc. all there!
