Vehicle Detail

2003 Ford F250 – 7.3 Liter Power Stroke Diesel – Lariat Crew Cab, rear wheel drive, (short bed) 6.5 foot bed. 210,000 miles on the odometer B&W Turnover ball hidden hitch and Draw Tite II Brake Controller already installed. K&N Cold air intake. CB Radio includedIf you’re looking for a good 7.3 power stroke at a reasonable price, this is it. No issues to speak of, no warning lights on, good rubber, fresh oil change, reusable K&N air filter, and one of the best hitches available already installed. It is rear wheel drive. I did not buy a four wheel drive on purpose - less things to go wrong/break. This truck is made for work. I would not drive this truck on a lawn or in any situation that you would need four wheel drive - the engine block is just heavy and the drive wheels are in the rear. I bought this truck to pull a RV I purchased and was planning to live in full time. That lasted four months and I got rid of the RV. Now that it's gone I do not need the truck and it is time to pass it on to a new owner that will appreciate the perfection of the 7.3 PSD. This truck was manufactured in 2002 and the 2003 model was the last year the the 7.3 liter PSD's were used by Ford. They really got it right with this truck, too bad the EPA shut it down because the PSD is not encumbered with all the anti pollution power robbing parts and pieces that make newer diesels more environmentally friendly and less dependable. This truck turns diesel fuel into raw towing power. If you have a trailer to move, a RV to tow or just need to pull a big boat, don't waste $50K on a new truck when this is one of the best and most dependable trucks out there to get the job done. Besides the cold air intake, the truck has not been molested with any aftermarket accessories, you simply don’t need anything with this truck except to change your fluids and filters, rotate your tires and fill it with diesel. Never in any major accidents but it has scratches, dings and small dents. It has what I believe is aftermarket window tint that passes VA inspection standards, not sure what your states requirements are on tint but I'm not taking it off. It could even be factory tint for all I know... The passenger side window tint has some scratching from a previous owner, looks like dog scratches. The interior could use a good deep cleaning, the leather seats are for the most part intact and look good with some minor scratching and scrapes in the back seat and one spot on the driver seat that is slightly torn. Carpet has some stains from the years but overall this truck is in great shape considering its age. I took it through the $20 car wash so it's about as clean as your going to get it from me. It's a truck, I've never worried about jumping into it with muddy boots, tossing a tool box or a dead deer or hog in the bed or spilling a little coffee. I have taken care of it but I don't want to leave the impression that this is one of those nice new fancy trucks you'll find on a dealers lot, it aint. But it also doesn't cost what those trucks go for. Fresh oil change and oil filter right at 210K. Transmission fluid was changed last year and a drain bolt was installed. As far as I know the transmission is original and shifts smooth through all gears. I have no reason to believe that the transmission wont last as long as the engine if you take care of it and don't drive this thing like a racing truck. This truck has no leaks but some oil dripped from the oil pan bolt after a previous oil change because I failed to put a washer on and didn't want to drain 15 quarts of oil to fix it. I will include two extra nylon washers an extra oil filter and a transmission filter I bought previously. Very minimal corrosion, I bought it in Arizona and they guy I got it from bought it in Texas. The title shows a theft and recovery and I got the truck from Wheel Kinetics, a company that sells right here on ebay. You can read what they have to say about theft recovery vehicles... I have a clean clear VA title and a fresh VA State inspection dated September 2015. I had four new shock absorbers installed last summer. Batteries and charging system are good, never had any issues. I replaced the automatic shifter cable last winter. The bad - Air conditioner works fine but sometimes the compressor cycles more than I think it should, I know there is a "clutch air gap" fix that might be the problem but I haven't tried it. The AC works fine the only thing I ever did to it was top off the Freon last Summer when I was living in Texas and it was over 110 in the summer. The AC kept the truck cool. If I was getting a great deal on this truck, like you are, I would take it to an AC professional and let them diagnose/fix it.Fuel injectors do their job but the truck could probably benefit from injector service. I am not saying there is anything wrong with the injectors everything seems fine. I know a complete rebuild kit for the injectors can be had for around $200 here on ebay if you are up to tackling the job yourself and know how to do it. There is nothing indicating to me that there is anything wrong with any of the injectors. Rear tires are leftovers from when I had new tires installed at Costco because some jerk (or maybe a mad girlfriend) slashed two of the original 4 tires I bought. If I were getting a great deal on this truck, like you are, I would get two new rear tires to match the front Michelin LTX M/S 2s. I do notice that the rear tires tend to wear at the outside edge the fastest but if you keep up with your inflation and rotation it is not a problem. The overhead console that shows fuel economy, temperature, miles left at current fuel rate works. Sometimes it will not display but I've always just left it alone and it comes back on. I know there is also a tweak to disable the light dimming feature so it displays bright all the time instead of dimming when the headlights are on. I haven't messed with it.I have purposely not power washed the engine compartment or under-body so the new owner can tell I have not tried to hide any recent work or anything else. There is a little corrosion on one of the battery posts that should be addressed but not bad enough to warrant panic in the new owner. The ABS light comes on when you hit a pot hole hard but it has always reset itself after I shut the truck down and restarted it.This truck burns very little oil, I usually add one quart every four or five fill ups. I have always changed the oil at 5000 mile intervals.I have never serviced the rear differential. There are not any problems I am aware of, I would just do it to be sure everything is good if I was getting a great deal on one of the best trucks in existence. There is a factory engine block heater installed. This truck needs to be plugged in when the weather gets cold. The fuel cap is missing a retainer clip on the back of it. If you're not careful it will fall on the ground at refuels. Lastly, No I do not have detailed maintenance records because at 210,000 miles this truck is way out of warranty. The engine was spec from the manufacturer to last at the minimum 400k miles and there is a reason the 7.3 Liter Power Stroke Diesel is called the million mile motor! But that is mostly up to the owner doing maintenance, keeping your RPMs under 2K when towing and not trying to impress the world with burning rubber... This truck never misses a beat. Google it and you'll see there is a cult following for it and tons of parts if anything should happen to go wrong. I have tried to describe this vehicle to the best of my ability and I have disclosed any and all known defects at the time of listing. That being said the truck is being sold as is, where is and with no warranties whatsoever. Plenty of pictures and videos on request, ask your questions BEFORE you bid! If you don't get this one they made millions of them, they just aren't making them anymore. When asking for picture/video links try to send the email address you want them sent to as eBay tends to strip email addresses so all messages will go through their relay. Don't try to view them on a low bandwidth connection, you'll just be frustrated because the files are big so you can zoom in and see details. I will have a cold start video, driving video and detailed walk through of the interior, exterior, engine compartment and under body the best I can get. I'll send all the pictures you want. I know there is always a risk buying a used auto online. Check out my feedback and bid with confidence. I use my real name as my Ebay user ID and I stand behind this truck 100%. That being said, there is no warranty truck is sold as is. When I get your cash and you get my truck the sale is done. Don't ask for a refund because I need to buy a grocery getter/grandkid hauler and I'm already looking right here on Ebay! Questions or request for photos in the last three hours of the auction will go unanswered. This truck is also for sale locally for $7500.00 obo. If the truck sells locally I will end the auction! There is no reserve. The starting price is $5800.00 Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
