I'm selling my 2002 Toyota Tacoma I recently got a new job and need a commuter car I have owned the truck for 3 years and before that I bought it off my brother who bought it certified pre-owned from Smithtown Toyota after he bought the truck they performed an inspection and determined it needed a new frame he then waited 2 months while Toyota put a new frame on it, he sold it to me because he too needed a commuter car at that time to start a new job. the truck has a 3 inch lift in the front with Bilstein shocks and struts there is a 2 inch add a leaf in the rear complemented by 33 inch Cooper stt tires with 60 % tread left... the timing belt and water pump were just replaced... there is a short throw shifter, HID headlights, a functional locking tool box, and a brand new rear bumper because the old chrome one looked like crap...the truck is in very good condition for a 13 year old truck, the paint shines up real nice with a coat of wax. The interior is in very good condition with minor wear. The rims are starting to rust they will eventually need to be sanded and painted but from 10 feet away they still look nice. The truck drives very well at highway speeds. The truck has been well maintained with Mobil 1 synthetic oil changes every 5000 miles. The 4wd works flawlessly and never left me stranded, i was often the only guy at 711 durring a blizzard getting my coffee. Rack and pinion were replaced at 130k and all other routine maintenance was performed regularly. The check engine light does come on occasionally with a P2041 code that happen frequently with these trucks when the miles start climbing (just Google it if you don't know)... the truck is extremely dependable and I would not hesitate to drive across country...I had a hilux before this tacoma, my Pop and bros have owned a couple each as well,. My little brother sold his with 300k on it.
