I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2004 Mercedes-Benz CL500. The full sized coupe has always been at the top of the Mercedes family and is one of the most exclusive models offered by the brand. To me, there is just something about the pillarless coupe that has a sort of timeless beauty about it. If you think back through the decades, Mercedes' open coupes have always been among the most beautiful and desirable automobiles. I would rate the exterior of this CL500 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a beautiful coupe. The black finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any used automobile, please expect a few blemishes and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. As a whole, you'd have to be pretty picky to find anything on the exterior of this CL500 worth complaining about. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a proper set of Michelin's with good tread all around. Please take the time to check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Mercedes looks. I would rate the interior of this Mercedes to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The black interior looks great against the black exterior. The door cards are clean and tight. The leather shows well and the wood veneers are all in good condition. The power windows, mirrors, seats, sunroof and central locks all work properly. The power rear sunshade raises and lowers quickly and smoothly as it should. The self closing doors and trunk all work properly. The factory wide screen audio/GPS system works properly. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR. The only bad thing I can say about the interior is that the little trim piece that goes on the center console release is missing...not a big deal. The best thing about the interior is that you can lower all four windows and cruise completely open, which feels great. The trunk is spacious and clean. Pride in ownership shows throughout this full sized coupe. Mechanically, this CL500 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 5.0L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. The Active Body Control works perfectly with no faults or warnings on. The steering and brakes feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. There have been no idiot lights on. The automatic transmission engages smoothly, shifts perfectly and transferrs power to the rear wheels seemlessly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. These cars are excellent drivers and I would recommend that everyone owns one at least once in their life. I've owned several of these and I love them. I am a Mercedes nut, ask anyone who knows me. Aside from the road tests that I am required to do for every car I sell, I always keep a Merc as my personal driver. If you can learn how to pick good ones out from the bad ones, they are great cars to own. If you're in the market for one of these, this CL500 deserves your serious consideration. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2004 Mercedes-Benz CL500. The full sized coupe has always been at the top of the Mercedes family and is one of the most exclusive models offered by the brand. To me, there is just something about the pillarless coupe that has a sort of timeless beauty about it. If you think back through the decades, Mercedes' open coupes have always been among the most beautiful and desirable automobiles. I would rate the exterior of this CL500 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a beautiful coupe. The black finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any used automobile, please expect a few blemishes and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. As a whole, you'd have to be pretty picky to find anything on the exterior of this CL500 worth complaining about. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a proper set of Michelin's with good tread all around. Please take the time to check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Mercedes looks.
I would rate the interior of this Mercedes to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The black interior looks great against the black exterior. The door cards are clean and tight. The leather shows well and the wood veneers are all in good condition. The power windows, mirrors, seats, sunroof and central locks all work properly. The power rear sunshade raises and lowers quickly and smoothly as it should. The self closing doors and trunk all work properly. The factory wide screen audio/GPS system works properly. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR. The only bad thing I can say about the interior is that the little trim piece that goes on the center console release is missing...not a big deal. The best thing about the interior is that you can lower all four windows and cruise completely open, which feels great. The trunk is spacious and clean. Pride in ownership shows throughout this full sized coupe.
Mechanically, this CL500 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 5.0L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. The Active Body Control works perfectly with no faults or warnings on. The steering and brakes feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. There have been no idiot lights on. The automatic transmission engages smoothly, shifts perfectly and transferrs power to the rear wheels seemlessly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. These cars are excellent drivers and I would recommend that everyone owns one at least once in their life. I've owned several of these and I love them. I am a Mercedes nut, ask anyone who knows me. Aside from the road tests that I am required to do for every car I sell, I always keep a Merc as my personal driver. If you can learn how to pick good ones out from the bad ones, they are great cars to own. If you're in the market for one of these, this CL500 deserves your serious consideration. CARS' Power Train Limited Warranty covers all lubricated parts contained within the engine block, all lubricated parts contained within the transmission housing, drive axle lubricated parts, drive shaft, universal joints, CV joints and wheel bearings. Full payment is due within 7 day of the auction's end. The prefferred method is to bring cash in person to complete the sale. If you are unable to bring cash in person within seven days or will be having the vehicle shipped, we also accept Certified Checks, USPS Postal Money Orders, and wire transfer.
PayPal is not an accepted payment method. This includes Bill Me Later.
We cannot accept credit cards or personal checks.
Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.
Non-paying Bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are a PennDOT issuing agent and able to complete most tag, registration, and title work, as well as collect sales tax, for Pennsylvania residents.
For out-of-state buyers PennDOT offers a 30-day temporary tag (aka In-Transit tag). The cost is $45 and the buyer must show a valid driver's license and current proof of insurance. We can issue them at our office.
