Vehicle Detail
Hello All, Even as I write this I can't believe I have decided to sell my 66 mustang convertible. The car was lovingly restored 7 years ago by an old friend who had many Mustang restorations to his credit, he has since passed away. Since the restoration I have driven the car about 4000 miles. I live in Pennsylvania but the car has been covered and stored in my garage in Calabash, North Carolina. The process was frame-up and included frame sand blasting and painting, all new brake lines, strip and paint, new carpet, new interior, new top, new tires, new chrome bumpers, new Ford ralley wheels, new exhaust, new carburetor and transmission rebuild. The car is not a show car but it is a beautiful summer driver that gets compliments wherever I go. I don't know how many times I've heard: " beautiful car, used to have one like it years ago, never should have sold it". and every time I've heard that I decided to keep the car, again. My wife and I are preparing to retire to North Carolina, we are downsizing and need the garage space and I just don't drive the car often enough to keep it. There are 2 things on the car that will need addressed by the new owner: 1) The last time I drove the car I felt a minor "pull" in the right front steering. I can't imagine it is anything major but haven't had time to address it. 2) With the combination of today's gasolines, a carburetor, and a car that sits most of the time, The engine really needs a good tune-up. There are a few minor paint blemishes or chips due to normal driving, a stone being kicked up, etc... The car overall is very nice and I will miss taking it to the beach and seeing the smiles as we drive by. Please understand that I do not live where the car is stored so I ask your patience in arranging pick-up. Please check my feedback, a good reputation means everything. Feel free to ask questions and I will be happy to answer. Thank You
