2003 Ford Excursion 4x4 Diesel Eddie Bauer - Family Owned - Third Row - 8 Seater Cab Off UPGRADES DONE - Never Chipped - Rare & Ready!! This is a fine example of the 2003 Ford Excursion. Family Owned This has been in our family since it was new. My Grand father bought it to haul his 30' Camp trailer from St George, Utah to Evanston, Wyoming twice a year. We've had it for the last 2 years and we have loved it. We have taken several road trips and it drives like a dream. We have taken great care of her and always serviced on time. Three Rows of Luxury Fully loaded with the Eddie Bauer package. It's got Two- Tone Leather seats. Heated in the front. Heated Mirrors. Adjustable foot peddles and steering wheel with controls. CD Changer. DVD System for Rear Entertainment. Wood Trim. And all the other creature comforts we've grown to expect. Finally a Reliable 6.0 (Thanks to the required Cab-Off upgrades!) The 6.0 Powerstroke is a Great motor. It had some design flaws in the beginning. To replace the common issues that the 6.0 has requires you to take the cab off and remove the heads and do a whole slew of work under the chassis. This 03 Power-stroke has had all that done. At 164,xxx miles we had all the common issues taken care of with upgraded equipment. List includes:High Pressure Oil Pump EGR Upgrade Intake Return Tube upgrade IPR upgrade ARP Head Studs Rebuilt Turbo New Water Pump Injectors I am sure there is more that I have forgotten but the bill was over $8,000 to get it all done. ExteriorThere are a few dings on the drivers side door and a scratch on the rear bumper. On a scale of 1-10 I give the exterior an honest 8. It is very clean but it does have those few dings and a scratch. The paint shows no signs of wearing and no sun fading. The wheels clean up very nice and the tires only have about 1,200 miles on them. The trim is all there and in excellent condition. All the doors open and close as they should. Glass is in good shape. InteriorThe interior scores a 9 out of 10. There are no stains or tears in the sweet leather. Both the front seats have working heated seats. The steering wheel has controls to make it easy to adjust your climate and the radio, as well as cruise control (which is advisable to use as it is easy to speed in this because of how smooth it handles.) The wood trim adds an elegant touch and creates a very warm environement. The center console has a clip and seconds as a clipboard to keep your paperwork or maps in place while you are driving or taking notes, very handy for the list and serious note takers! It has a rear DVD system that usually works. There have been a few times that it wouldn't read the disk. All of the power windows and seats work as they should. The seats only have 1 head rest, they are easy to pickup at the dealer if you wanted more. Family Road Trips or Pickup Truck Capacity? The rear seats are removable and the 2nd row folds down flat so you have the same space as a pickup truck in the back so you can haul a LOT of cargo. Both the middle and rear row are full bench seats, so you can ride up to 8 adults. It runs and drives like a dream come true. You can be confident in this excursion because it has already had the important and expensive work done. Just about every 6.0 will need $5,000 in repairs before it hits 200,000 miles. That is if you only fix what breaks and not what WILL need to be replaced. The comforting part is that once those few issues are taken care of the 6.0 is just about the longest life diesel you can have. This rig will be ready to go for another 300,000 miles, let's face it, it's not even close to half way. This Excursion was over $48,000 when it was new, no reason to spend that kind of money now. This is an amazing rig and very rare to find one that has had all of the important work done for you, so if you are looking for an excursion that you can just Buy Now and Drive without worry, this is The One. Rebuilt last November. They undercarriage is clean. No rust. It spent is winter's in Southern Utah. It drives straight. The overhead computer is intermittent. There is no signs or smells of smoking.
