1982 Volkswagon Vanagon , real low reserve like to sell this sale , this is a van I took in on trade on a type 2 Volks bus drove it on a 200 mile short trip and man it really ran well so I decided to make it a little more appealing on the looks part as it was that brown/tan combo I could not work with that color combo so decided because it was a real good runner with hard to find factory air I would make it presentable , so I had a friend do a lower cost paint job , good paint but has a few issues , it's a looks great at 10 feet,so if you are on a budget this cool bus might be for you. The motor , clutch and transmission are in good shape.l had the fuel injection pulled and a new dual carb setup was installed for better relilabilty starts right up runs strong no issues in the drive. installed new carpet front to rear, used Dodge Caravan seats front and rear, also added a nice console. Will come with a brand new windshield. Did a do it yourself window tint job turned out fair. I added a nice set of 16 inch alloy wheels but the tires are iffy. I have talked to a couple of Volkswagon experts and they agree if you want a lower cost bus the air cooled would probably be the best bet because they are much less expensive to own if there were to be a problem they are cheap to work on as opposed to a older water cooled. Again this is no show bus but it is a good looking good running bus at a low cost , great for entry level surfer van ect. I left some small items for you to complete to make this a great looker ie need 1 door panel and some small interior repairs. The air condition does not blow cold but is all there and hooked up. I take pride in my ebay score and one of the reasons I have a good score is because if you have question please ask that way there are seldom problems. This is a good bus with a very fair reserve so bid to buy good luck.On Aug-31-15 at 09:49:02 PDT, seller added the following information: Ok got a few extra minutes was in a bit of a hurry last night to get it listed, so here is some more info,and pictures before I get a lot of calls on the possibility of any rust let me say there is none never has been and looks as though it is a dry as I have seen for the year, after inspecting it for rust I found 1 little small finger nail spot at the right lower corner of the windshield and I did not try to hide it I just scuffed it and painted over very minor, underneath and floors show no rust or repairs for rust. That was another reason I decided to make this a good looking ride. I was going to do a plasti coat flat white paint job on it but after pricing out the materials I decided to go ahead and have it painted but wanted to keep the price point very low, so for that reason I did not want to have to add $ 1500.00 to $ 2500.00 paint to this so had a decent base coat clear coat job done, there are some flaws here and there but from a few feet away looks good.
